Match preview for this game is now available on Viva Rovers (http://vivarovers.wordpress.com)
Incidentally I would like to place my time in the 'first chant of scab' sweepstake at 47 seconds.
-
Fantastic preview as ever. Loved the bit about the resolutely optimistic tone of the DROS preview.
I too am sick and tired of Chelsea Dagger- although I got sick and tired of it long before that November afternoon by the Trent. More like 0.01 seconds after the first time I heard it.
One thing re Robin Hood. Yes, he is an icon in Nottingham but he wasn't from there. The sheriff was from Nottingham and RH was from outside- probably from somewhere around Donny.
-
PS: Rovers to win 1-0 with a goal from Brian Stock. He's overdue one.
-
Shackell back! Roberts out with injury. Back four of Chambers, Shackell, Martis and O Connor. Otherwise unchanged. On OS.

I spoke too soon... Shacks off already subbed by Hird :(
-
I thought it was a bit early for a return. Hird seems to be doing ok though.

Get in Billllllllllllyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Typical, just got home to Pontefract after my daughters played football in Newcastle, missing my first home game of season, and it sounds like a belter. Could have prob got there for last 20 minutes, so fel a bit guilty sat at home listening to the player
-
Glad Billy's back. :-)
-
Atmosphere sounds nice and loud. Mayfield and Mortley are saying the game is brilliant, Pat Nevin's saying its scrappy, don't care if we can hold on
-
Dumbya on.... not so sure about that subs.

I really do hope we see this one thru - Referee sounds like a rate t**t
-
looks like SOD took a gamble on two central defenders who weren't fully fit, a bit unlike him. hope it doesn't backfire

Dumbo's great going forward, but we need solid cover at the back.
Apparently Sulli has signalled to him not to get too far forward.
Hope he takes note.

Im not relishing the next 20m, our all-sub-six-foot defence against their prolific strike force
-
Mc Cleary off
Chambers booked (6th this season)
I hate it when we play against 10 men !
-
Scabs down to ten!!!! - to be fair its been coming!!!
-
Oh dear, we can't play against 10 men
-
Comeon Donny ... close accurate passing now to give 'em the run-around

-
Not much time for MUTCH to make an impression.
-
Please no more goals, I've got 35/1 on 1-0 with Billy scoring!!
-
Nervy times (yet again)
Whistle please ref.
-
YES YES YES far more nervous than being there I'm sure. Stiff drink time

Tremendous win. Excellent performance.

Brilliant win, if we can kick on over the next few matches safety will be assured quickly and then we can experiment a bit. :)
-
Excellent win and great performance, Oster MOM for me. What the hell was Shackell doing playing when he's weeks away from recovery?? Crazy. Ref and linesman were an absolute disgrace.

Belatedly, the match report from Saturday is now up on Viva Rovers (http://vivarovers.wordpress.com)
