For those of you who dislike Christiano Ronaldo

Just read that recently a child less then a year old needed an operation to live. The family who couldn't afford the operation then attempted to contact Ronaldo requesting a signed pair of boots and a shirt to sell and raise money for the operation. They later received the boots, the shirt and a cheque for €83000. Although he probably earns this in just a couple of days I think he deserves massive credit for this. Class act.

He's less irritating now he's abroad anyway.

If you dig around, there are lots of celebs putting something back.  My favourite story is of Matt Dillon when he finished filming in Cambodia.  He had a personal driver for the duration of filming and as he left he gifted the car to the driver. Driver now works as a self employed taxi driver and is able to put his kids through school. Truly life changing for the guy and his family.

When he was a kid, Sporting Lisbon came to one of the local teams games he played for and said whoever scores the most out of him and his friend would sign for them. Both players scored one each, then near the end of the game his friend went round the keeper and just needed to tap it in but he decided to play it back for Ronaldo to score, so Ronaldo was signed. His friend is unemployed but still has a nice car, big house, etc just because Ronaldo looks after him and hasn't forgot about what he did.
