What Chance have we got with ANY Political Party in 10 Downing Street, if they can't even put the "0" in 10 the right way round on the BLOODY DOOR!

One thing I have often wondered:

if the PM lives at No 10 and the Chancellor at No 11......who lives in 1 to 9?

No. 9 is the whole opposite side of the street, I believe - as far as I know it's the Home Office (or Foreign, I forget which).

No. 9 is where the Cheif Whip is housed (although traditionally it is at number 12, which is being used for a whole host of stuff at the minute.

houses '1-8' (those on the other side as for the first hundred years number 10 was 5 for a while) were on the other side of the street but knocked down in the 19th century to make government space which is now the foreign office...
