Arsenal ladies beat Spurs ladies  10-0 in same round of ladies cup.

Think your bang on with the money issues that you point out

The FA is chasing sponsorship and TV money for the Women's game so are looking to associate the clubs as closely as possible with the big city men's clubs. The Belles do not have BIG money sponsors and despite having a nucleus of professional full-time players, the most notable being Courtney  Sweetman -Kirk, they can't afford to pay transfer fees and high salaries as Chelsea already does.  Belles are not integrated into DRFC and seem to wish to be run by women only, Chairlady, General Manager (ess) and now Head Coach included.

I agree, but tbf, Arsenal ladies have been dishing out 10-0 thrashings for more than a decade.
