Is he left or right side?

Often floats....left, right, down the middle

Marosi

Lewis
Anderson
Downing
Andrew

Kane
Whiteman
Crawford

Marquis
Wilks
Copps

Q over whether he wants Blair in midfield to add a bit more weight given size of Palace, and whether he wants Wilks as impact player later and have May run them around for first half.
Lewis is cup tighed

No he’s not

He has only played in the Football League Trophy this season for Swansea (u21s).

He is certainly not (FA) cup tied.

Aww, CBCB, I was hoping he would come back with some weird reason, like he was on our bench against Oldham.

Left side. Utter gash. No pace or strength.
May be interesting then, for cup games we usually play our reserve right back Ward. Our first choice right back is Aaron Wan-Bisaka, who is rated as the best right back in the premier league at the moment so will be a right battle. Hopefully we play AWB.

I really like Wan-Bissaka and think he’s got a great future ahead of him but how do you mean rated as he best right back? Is he better than Trippier or Alexander Arnold right now?

Statistically he is the top defender in Europe right now . Most number of tackles/interceptions etc

Check the stats, tackles, interceptions etc, rated the best right back in Europe, will be in next England squad. ATA has been injured for a lot of the season.

Palace team just booked in at the Hilton at the racecourse. Now where are those rather loud fireworks I had left over from New Year's Eve !!

Hound, if Wilks gets the bit between his teeth tomorrow he is capable of being the player everyone is talking about on Monday.
I only hope it is for the right reasons.

Big fan of Wilks but he’s a youngster in his first season of professional football who, although in form right now, has arguably blown cold as often as he’s blown hot. Van Aanholt is a full international who signed for £15 million. If it’s him who’s starts at left back Wilks is definitely up against it.

The current confidence/arrogance Wilkes is displaying tho will be a match for most. He is  so strong and pacey,  just needs to learn to lift his head up and remember its a team game.   McCan has stated that he does more than his fair share one on one with Malik, this is deffo one of those occasions where we all need it to have sunk in and been understood.

If start Blair at full back, his speed alone helps his defensive duties and he is twice the wing back Lewis will ever be... against a fast palace side we have to have lightening down the flanks to stand a chance.

Nick, I think it is fair to say that there have been plenty of teenagers who came in like a wrecking ball and gave a hard time to international defenders.
Mallik will have no respect for reputations and with his pace and power will be very difficult to stop, especially if he turns his marker.

According to BBC Lewis IS cup-tied & Wilks is suspended. Anyone know if that's right or not ?

Lewis is too.
If you look at his appearances this season, he has only played a league or cup game for us.
He was a sub for our Oldham game.

What a beautiful day to make history. The sun shone at Cardiff, at Wembley, at Brentford. I've just been for a walk just as I did on those mornings and there's that same sweet smell in the dewy air.

Of course, and I’m not saying it won’t happen, just that it’s by no means a certainty that, as you put it, “Wilks will run him ragged”.

Now the latest intel is that Wilks is suspended after all [anyone for humble pie ?] I am marginally less confident. We will miss his ability to beat players and draw cautions which I don't think the CP defenders would have had an answer for. Who will start in his place is the question now.

The only ones to eat humble pie should be the FA, who did not clarify the situation until the last moment.
As for his replacement I would bring Rowe in.
