That’s the odds for a Rovers win on Saturday, I might have a couple quid on, you never know. We beat them years ago when they were flying high in the old Div 4 with Graeme Jones in their side. The odds for us to win and there be 3 goals in the match will something like 8/1

Remember that game well. 2-0 Cramb with a screamer and Birch got the other i think. Played them off the park. Think Martinez played for them that night.

Thought the title was the date we’d be officially relegated
:rtid:

Just add a month on matey.

Jones had just scored 2 hat tricks and was something like 4/1 to score another against us ,we played amazing that night and birch was class ,sure it was a Friday night game
-
I was a Friday night, I had been on a “ team bonding “ do in the afternoon at the bowling alley, free beer, free snap and Rovers won . Good day
-
It was the night after Kerry Dixon told all those at the Park hotel that he didn’t pick the team and Ken Richardson did. He was asked by all there to try and get Birch back in the team after Birch had criticised Richardson. Cramb with a great goal and Birch hit the bar with Adie Mike following up for 2 nil win.

Martinez played for Wigan that night, but was hooked on 70min. Lee Butler was in net for Wigan that night.
There was for some reason a lot of Friday night games that season. A few weeks later on 14 March was the 2-0 win away at Cardiff courtesy of Darren Moore and....Utley from the half way line.

Thought this was a Wigan score prediction thread for a minute.

11/2?
Score prediction for Wigan game?
The date we get relegated?
Number of players on loan versus the amount of actual footballers we have?
-
I went to corals today to ask about a stupid bet of Donny and Derby both surviving. They couldn’t quote me. I was just interested to see if the odds would be stupid enough to warrant a few quid madness bet
I haven’t done it but I was hoping for some stupid odds

That’s quite possible although I can’t see where we’re possibly going to get two goals from! :woot:

Don’t be silly. Where does the 2 come from in that score. Are we about to sign a proper striker?

Odds now 6/1

Odds now 6/1
I fancy the 3-1 win at 75/1!!!

Odds on Derby alone are not stupid. They're around 3/1 to beat the drop (and rated as having a better chance than Barnsley)
At around 1.28 points per game - and factoring in their 21 point deduction - they are projected to end the season on 38 points which SHOULD see them dead and buried.
However , the three teams they're looking to overhaul (Reds, Pboro and Reading) are the three worst "form" teams in the division.
Barnsley and Peterborough both have to go to Pride Park, as do Hull and Cardiff who are both on 23 points and only 4 points clear of the relegation zone.
A takeover / couple of signings etc and the Rams still may not get their comeuppance!

I think Derby need Benitez to stay in a job because I can see Rooney being their next manager.
-
About 7/1 now on Betfair for the win. I strongly suspect the price will go even higher by kick off perhaps 8/1
-
I’m going to have them in a 50p Lucky 15
-
Rovers 6/1
Bristol C 11/1
Reading 11/2
Fleetwood 11/2
In a successful 50p Lucky 15 pays £3216.95

Wigan to win from behind is 8/1.
We score from our first attack early on and then proceed to spend the remainder of the game fending off the Wigan onslaught once normal service is resumed and they run out 4-1 winners.
Seems worth a punt to me.

9/1 for us to win now!
