Last man standing competition

Anybody fancy this Competition ? I know Pubs where they do this for £1 a Round but of course we can't realistically do.that but I can sort a prize out for the overall winner

It's a bad week to start but here's what happens. Each week I will name a League and day at random. You as the competitor pick a Team from that League that you think will WIN .

Enter before Kick off on the day that Team plays and if they WIN you survive and I carry on picking League and Day until there is just one "Last man ( or Woman ) standing"

The winner gets one Point for each Round they have won , and that score becomes their overall total .

Then we start all over again with everybody back in and er do the same thing for a second time , a third time and so on until we run out of games as the Season starts to come to an end

As I say it's a bad week to start with International break but if you are up for it  I will say National League Saturday 18th

Remember your chosen team MUST WIN or you are out. In unlikely event of Postponed or Abandoned games you will survive , but draw or lose and you are OUT of the Comp till this phase is won

Simply enter Team name before ko time on Saturday and change you mind by editing your entry before KO

EDit . One thing I forgot to add , if your nominated Team WINS you go through BUT you cannot "nominate" them again for that phase of the Competition. This keeps interest up as people otherwise could pick Man City for example each time the Premier League is chosenThanks Nickdrfc for pointing out my omission. It WAS meant to be there

I run a competition similar to this but Premier League only and you need to pick a unique team each week ie if you pick Man City week one, you can’t pick them again. Would recommend focussing on a specific league and having that rule in place otherwise you could quite easily find yourself at the end of the season with a lot of entrants still in.

I decided late yesterday to run this and said based on other Comps  I know of and you are right of course

To make the Competition " dynamic" the ones I know of only allow an entrant to use a Team once , so nobody can simply put Man City every week of the Prem or Chesterfield in National League , so thanks for the heads up and the rule duly applies

That apart I'm pleased to have got most of what was in my head down in print and even better the response  so far

Yes noted. I have fixed the only nominate a Team once and great suggestion on picking a specific League. Maybe League 2 every week till we reach League one or people get fed up lol
