REALISTIC GAMES TO WIN
« on February 26, 2016, 01:24:35 pm by Upton Rover »
Looking at the remaing fixtures, I am trying to see where we can get the wins to take us to 50points and survival.
Home wins against Shewsbury and Blackpool away wins to Colchester Rochdale Bury Chesterfield and Crew. Some of these may end in draws and but should get us past the 50 point mark for surviaval. Providing we get no injuries to some of our key players.

I don't see us winning another 5 games away from home. This is more than we've managed all season thus far

That may be related to the fact that we've played 11 of the current top 12 sides away already, and only 4 of the bottom 12.

All realistic to win or lose, so little between sides, our team need to make sure they have a solid start give nothing away early and when the chance comes relax and put it in the net, boss the game from the start, no messing about.

Not only boss games from the start but continue bossing them until the end would be helpful. We are quite simply trying to recover from early sucker punched and haven't got the confidence and therefore the patience to keep going at it methodically .
We need a team with backbone forget the arty farty skilful passing moves that lead to breakdowns of communication and finally conceding simply lead to the oppo teams scoring the simplest of goals time and time again.
We must be a delight to play against and we've got to somehow change it......win dirty for once.

Sometimes it doesn't come down to skill as you say, just plain old character, they showed that today with a useful point. Just stop giving teams as start, it's a real problem.
There is obviously something wrong with concentration levels at the start of games for us, maybe they need to change how they warm up so they are ready from the start!.
