Realistic pre season friendlies
« on May 10, 2016, 07:11:09 pm by RedRover45 »
What does everyone reckon. I think we'll get two or three home ones against any of the following locals Barnsley, Sheff Utd, Rotherham or Scunny. Token home game against Prem opposition such as Middlesboro or possibly Hull. Away might be a bit more interesting. I'd like something different to the usual Retford, Frickley or Gainsborough. A trip to North Ferriby, Salford City or FCUM, or local trip to Brigg maybe ?

Scotland would be great, we might even get a winning run going with plenty of goals to get us in a scoring mentality.

Boston away please. I can walk to the ground :)

Can't see us getting Lincoln away again. The local plod will most definitely oppose any such fixture.

Halifax would be a good shout despite excellent form in the 2nd half of the season they went down must have one or two good players if not released

I'd like Halifax.

Would be nice to see us abroad. Have we ever played overseas? I've said that to wave off the 'played in wales or scotland before'.

I think there used to be a regular pre-season tour to Ireland when Peter Doherty was manager
