Weekly Viking?
« on May 25, 2017, 07:07:55 pm by Susan Abbott »
Just finished watched a documentary on Celtic FC as it's been 50yrs since the Lisbon Lyons won the European Cup. Celtic were so popular back then they had there own newspaper " The Celtic View" it had a huge readership and got the news to the locals quicker , of course no social media back then but what a great way of recruiting new followers for the Rovers and Club Doncaster.

I have kept on saying for yonks that rovers or even club Doncaster now that they are up and running should have a couple of pages in that entertainer free magazine or whatever it is you see passed out to many pubs and workingmens clubs within the pubcaster  area.

Ok it's not going to bring lockouts to every rovers game at the KMS but surely it's a cheap and consistent way of getting club Doncaster profile out to whoever picks up a copy and flicks throu it.

The club have been focusing on the youth of Donny and given the record season ticket sales in this area it's obviously working given they are the future of the club. Your ideas aren't invalid but less likely to bring more through the gate on a consistent basis

There was a Rovers monthly paper about 10-12 years ago but it only lasted about a year or so.

Remember that, will have a few issues somewhere.
Didn't it come in the Star? Or was it a separate thing. Memory escapes me

It was separate, you had to pay for it.
