I find AdBlock helps cut out those pesky adverts. This is especially useful when there are younger eyes knocking around. *cough*

It also seems to be helpful in totally preventing adverts appearing on Spotify. Which is nice.

I do, it doesn't...

It's no big problem as I look carefully for the little almost hidden closedown x buttons....

Chrome by itself does not block ads by default, you have to install an extension, such as AdBlock

Yep, a mate of mine asked me to send him links for a game recently. I duly did, but - forgetting I have AdBlock - he mailed me back saying his young lad had nearly got an eyeful of something inappropriate that popped up. Would recommend installing AdBlock anyway. It does a grand job of getting rid of unwanted ads all over the place, including those on Facebook.
