I find today's game postponed a disgrace as it has equalled two home games in a row postponed as last home game against Blackburn on 24 March was postponed due to international call ups, which is a disgrace, I hope the next home game against Bury in the 17th goes ahead because I don't want to see three home games in a row postponed which would be a big disgrace.
-
Disgraceful innit.
-
Just to clarify... you thought it was a disgrace, right?
-
OP is teetering on the edge of satire.
But worth pointing out neither the Blackburn game or today's game were Rover's decisions. Ref decided today, Blackburn decided the other one. So who is a disgrace?

Disgraceful comments

Bang out or order. A disgrace.
-
Teetering? Full on gone over a cliff I hope. Surely it's a wind-up account and somebody hasn't specifically signed up to post something that?!
-
Ooh ooh ooh disgrace. It's a sign of the Tymes.
-

It sure is because to have two home games in a row postponed is a disgrace

No one is a disgrace but to have two home games in a row postponed is a disgrace

Come on guys, give him a chance to show whether he is a WUM, or a genuine poster. Let's face it, there could be at least one valid point in there, the one about postponements for international friendlies; as I've said in another thread, how can it be justifiable to postpone a game because 3 players are called up to an international friendly, when clubs are made to cope with up to 9 or 10 first teamers missing through injury.
-
Maybe not right Scawsby but that’s the rule
Could you imagine how many spurious injuries there could be to postpone a game to suit getting other players fit
-
I think you're all kicking your cans and waving your banners all over the place. There's only one word for it.
-

Just what I thought - saved me a job !
-
The EFL have announced the referee postponing today's match at the KM
was Di Sgrace a new official to the panel.
-
No egg rolling for me today, I've been skimming old CDs across the garden - disk race!
-
What's Grace done wrong to be dissed so much, that's what I want to know!

I take your point, Dude, but I was more or less referring to the OP's comments; if he's accusing the club of being a disgrace over the International postponement, then he's being ridiculous; however if he's criticising the rule, then I agree with him. The other thing, as I've said in another thread, is why can't the game be played this week, maybe on Wednesday?
-
Isn’t there some kind of rule whereby the Police need certain notice times, hence why Cup games are no longer replayed in the same week as the first tie.

Probably true, Hound, it's just that someone on here was saying that there are reports on Facebook that the Rovers were trying to get the game played on Wednesday; maybe I shouldn't take notice of Facebook rumours.
-
I don’t do Facebook mate, but I would be happy enough if the game was to be on Wednesday.
A quick decision would be needed though for many reasons.

You don't do Facebook? Disgraceful.

Why do people get so arsed about postponed games? Appreciate if you've travelled far you'd be pissed off but if not just get over it. Theres other things to do.

I go to football to stop me having to do the other things. 😉

Not at our time of life there aren't.

I’ll tell you what is a disgrace lads, the Accrington chairman has been asked to explain his actions after he revealed that he gives the team £200 to buy “a McDonalds or the like” if they win.
The EFL have told him it is an illegal payment as it isn’t in a standard player contract.
Surely he has the right to do that with his own money, is it any different to someone buying a player a drink after a game.
-
Billy Bremner was renowned for buying the team fish and chips on the coach home from away games if they had won in the 80’s. The game and its governance has changed a bit since then granted!

Hound, I'm not trying to take the p*ss out of Accrington, but is that £200 per man, or £200 per team?

This has got to be a wind up thread surely??

I know a former League referee (he lives in Birmingham). He remembers refereeing at Belle Vue when Billy was the manager. After the game there was always a bottle of whisky, provided by Billy, so the officials could have a drink before they set off home.
No doubt these days he'd be accused of bribery!
-
That is a disgraceful thing to say IDM.

Some of the refs we have had over the last few seasons officiate as though they have had a drink or two before the game.

Actually, I absolutely laud what Accrington have done this season, with a tiny budget, a tiny ground, and a tiny support base; it just shows what can be achieved with good management, and I really rate John Coleman. What a fantastic job he's done there.

Admit it, you've been bought a McDonalds for saying that.
