Given the likely starting line-up (no Joe Cole), missing some of the game may not be a bad thing, mind you.
I don't understand why Cole isn't starting (if he doesn't) either. At least Heskey is expected to be dropped!

Me too although the call centre will have the match beamed onto the wall.....without sound

Our place are letting us watch it in the staff room as long as we check our emails and voicemails at half time. Downside is that i'm the only bloke working today and there's 20+ women so it's going to be torture.

;-)

Congrats to England! :) Worked from home for half day but didn't really watch your game after the goal, but kept switching back and forth between yours and the US. But what a day, with both of those matches and then Wimbledon, amazing anyone got any work done!

Got iphone but iplayer will only work on the \"3\" network at the moment :(

I worked yesterday, we had a portable telly in the van and spent 45 mins driving around trying to get a signal. It got to about 1455 and no joy so we thought 'f**k em' and went back to the depot and put the telly on in the mess room. Fortunatly most of the gaffers had f**ked off home by then so they didn't hear us singing.
-
I worked yesterday also. There was an attempt by the office boss to put BBC Sport onto a screen but IT blocked the site, so I ended up listening on the trusty wireless while I got on with the paperwork. Can't say I was too excited by it though, they sounded blunt and lacking ideas. I did watch Ghana and Germany and said during the match, which was really good to watch, that either of these teams would murder England. I didn't realise who we were playing next!

All the Rovers/Keepmoat lot got the afternoon off.........ok gang let's have em

For those who did miss the England v Slovenia, here's a summary of what you missed in terms of both action and commentary from the Twinty Tin website (http://twintytin.wordpress.com/2010/06/23/match-report-england-1-0-slovenia-algeria-0-1-usa/)

Great match report, Viva. I didn't read any summaries on the US game, so thanks for your comments on that as well. Funnily, I had to keep reminding myself that I was watching the US play, as the match was so exciting.
Best of luck to your lot next game!
Edit: don't know how the title of this thread changed. I really didn't do anything. Really.

For the US game, she asked hopefully?
I think we'll lose though. But if it happens, at least we got through the group stage.
My other teams are England and Italy, based on ancestry. So my hopes hang on England, as I never liked the Italians play-acting diving stuff.

Believe it or not, daft get here will be on a plane to 'kin Lappland during the England-Germany match for a meeting on Monday. Listen out for a plane crash in the North Sea due to someone having their mobile on and it interfering with the plane's systems

I was working at school for the last one, and technology being what it is we have no TV or Video player left - only our interactive whiteboards and t'interweb, the stream through BBCsport was shocking and kept needing to rebuffer itself so was ultimately unwatchable! Not likely that I'll going to watch tomorrow's match either - i'll be on the golf course, The Good Lady and I will probably have the whole course to ourselves - may catch it in the clubhouse instead!
-
12hr day shift at DSA!!! if any of ya are flying tie up those bag straps, caus if they get caught up in the baggage hall you aint getting an engineer out of his cabin to attend :) and you'll be flying late!
feking bound to be somert go wrong tho esp as the duty manager's a sweatysock!!! :S

Well technically I am tomorrow as we have a home game. I tried to re-rrange kick off for 11am and everyone but the opposition agreed to the new ko. The opposition....the Yorkshire Rams from LEEDS.
Nevermind, we'll just have to see England in the QF next Saturday I guess ;)
