Police and local authorities can still clamp on private land although I don't if DMBC has any interest in Lakeside Outlet..?

Ridiculous. Totally impossible to determine which vehicles are simply "football only" related within the hundreds that will be there and also, just where will all these clamps they mention using come from.

We park at Lakeside and sometimes the wife goes shopping while we are at the Rovers.
How can they sort that one out?
I am also of the opinion that clamping is now illegal.
Does anyone know if the Lakeside car park is council or privately owned?

Is it really a big deal?  There are plenty of other places to park for free

In all likelihood this is probably just scaremongering to try and dissuade a few people who don't want to risk it (probably because they don't know the law or want the hassle). I'd be amazed if anybody was actually clamped, and that article linked by Glyn makes it pretty clear that they can't.

Although private firms can't clamp you, as that article says the police and local authority can clamp on private land. And who's to say they're not looking for a fund-raising opportunity?

Grimsby fan here. Was going to park at lakeside but won't bother now.

Any ideas where else to park except the stadium itself.

Plenty of other places nearby. Try the Park Inn hotel next to the Car Supermarket.

... and with that post, most can determine WHY they've done it and it appears to have worked.

The land is owned by a big insurance company, I'm sure it's Norwich Union. I had parking issue with a jobsworth a few years ago

Is that true Glyn?I thought the Police and local authority could issue fines, but not Clamp?

Edit: Your right Glyn, just googled it,I did'nt realise they can still also clamp if they wanted.
