I thought we had 11+ Subs men of the match today.
Can’t fault the desire to win that game against a very good team.
Charlton were the best team to come to the Moat this season and although we were second best for most of the Ist half, we hung in there and really should have won the game in the end.
We would have but for their Keeper and that off side decision which only the linesman saw.

Both Lewis and Wilks only got into the game second half, especially after Crawford was substituted and Blair came on. I thought Downing was immense al game and for 55 mins we only had one forward in John. The substitutes made us better. I hope we can get Kane to have a good rest  for next Saturday he was struggling today but got better in the second half.

Marquis was the only player who did well in the first 20 minutes, and was our only danger in the first half

Marquis was a one man forward line for large parts of that game. Someone in the south stand actually booed when they give him as sponsor's MotM. I give up.

Hard to choose a MoM today, I actually went for Wilks.
The whole team performed really well though, no criticism of anyone from me.

I heard that boo for Marquis too Alan.
Pathetic.

Ridiculous to boo him. John is so important to the way we play. When/if we lose him I hope the morons who boo him realise.

What a pathetic comment.
Marquis worked his b....ks off today. He was very unlucky not to have had a least 2 goals.
He gets m.o.m from me, but as i said in previous post I think everyone played well although I would have to single out Crawford as our week link and we were much better when Blair came on.
Problem with Crawford is he just can’t tackle, very light weight in that department imo.

Absolutely, Campsall. The manager has to decide if it's to be the passing and dead ball abilities of Crawford or the ability to tackle, graft and carrying of the ball from Blair. I much prefer the latter, as we are not on top of teams all the time - you have to earn the right to play football, especially in this division. Crawford is great when we're in possession, but not very good when we're not.

It was noticeable, on Saturday, how much better both Wilks and Lewis played after the introduction of Blair.
