Joe Wright out of Gillingham game with 5 yellows.
Andy Butler on four yellows will have to be careful on Saturday.
Niall Mason on four yellows again will have to be more careful on Saturday if selected.
Especially with Sunderland on Tuesday after.
-
For me you’ve got to continue playing Mason until he gets that fifth - would far rather do that than play Lund or put Blair there.
Anderson in for Wright, and if Butler does get a fifth on Saturday then Wright would just replace him on Tuesday.

Just wondered why you are saying “if selected” about Mason Steve?
Is it because you think he should be rested to make sure he is available to play against Sunderland?

Mason has been good in a majority of games I’m not sure what is the best thing to do. We do have Blair who could cover, having seen Lund last Tuesday he would be no where near the first team imo. So do we risk Mason on Saturday or rest him for Tuesday again I’m not sure.

The priority is the next win and for that, we need our best 11. Yes, we also want a win a week Tuesday, but Matty can cover right back for one game and, hopefully, Tommy Rowe will be ready to step in, if required.
I agree that Lund is not ready and would be a massive risk.
Let's hope nobody gets another yellow on Saturday and that solves any problems.

We get three points for beating Gillingham, and three points for beating Sunderland. I don't get this idea of "resting" players for the first game so they can play in the second. Whether we're talking about Coppinger or the lads on four yellows.

.
Of course, but we are more likely to get the 3 points against a side towards the bottom of the league with one or two changes to our strongest side than we are against a side who are just below us in the table. You see it all the time in football - managers resting a player when they have Huddersfield at home with a Champions League quarter final 3 days later.
That’s not to say I’d make the change to protect a player on the yellows - I’d only do it if I thought a player needed a rest.

Too right. Gills won at Portsmouth a week ago, losing that and beating Sunderland is the same as the other way round.

Looks like Lund has dropped behind Horton now. He can't have a future here.

Horton is left sided, not right.

I'm aware. I'm talking about on the bench at the weekend.

Ah, but which side of the bench did he sit on?

Middle.
