Scarborough Athletic
« on February 05, 2017, 08:18:16 pm by mrfrostsdad »
Living in Scarborough I've followed this closely over the years:

Scarborough Athletic played their first game in the new 2000 capacity stadium in Weaponess Valley Road Scarborough yesterday, after 10 years of playing in Brid. Coincidentally, the new Lidl Supermarket is due to open in a couple of weeks on the old Seamer Road ground.

Hard to believe it's not that long since they knocked us out of the cup and were higher up the ladder than us, even if only by one division

Scarborough we're away yesterday at Hyde. I don't think the ground is ready yet and will be a few weeks till they move in.

They'll not be ready to move into until May. Ground is virtually complete but rest of complex needs finishing first.

If I remember rightly, we were in Div3 and they were still in the Conf.

I think you're right!

Well, if the ground isn't ready sorry for the mis-information! I only read it in the Scarborough News on Thursday! I know it's a shit local rag but they're not usually that wrong!!! 😄😂
