Low Life
« on May 25, 2015, 11:48:21 am by mrfrostsdad »
I see the woman who appeared to wrestle Jermaime Beckfords shirt from the kids at Wembley yesterday has it for sale on Gumtree for £1500. Lots of photos of FB today.
If it's true she really should be ashamed of herself

I had thought she was the mother of one of the kids but clearly not. However I had a feeling that shirt would end up on an auction site.

If she really did pinch it off a kid then she deserves nothing but bad luck.

There's an article about it in the Metro newspaper today, so it looks as though it may well be true.

For any that didn't see it;
Woman takes Preston play-off hero Jermaine Beckford's shirt off young fan at Wembley final - Mirror Online

How daft do you have to be to behave like that with TV camaras everywhere.
She is going to get into some bother if she was not his mum;

All looks fairly jovial, should wait a bit before throwing stones at her, allow the story to come out in full

But I have already picked one up, and it's a really pointy one too

the woman has put the shirt on internet at £1500, and is being investigated by the police hope she gets the book thrown at her

While I don't agree with what she did at all I fail to see why the police need to be involved. They seem to prefer to get involved in these kind of high profile media-driven cases than dealing with far more serious crimes that are not in the papers.

The police will NOT become involved until ASKED to do so OR after checking with the football intelligence unit they believe ON THE BALANCE OF PROBABILITY then a crime will be recorded.
Hope that assists.

Nice to know that Beckford has a heart I just saw on BBC ( do we believe) that he is to give the kid who had his shirt stolen, a signed shirt to make up for what happened.   :aok: :aok: :aok: :aok: :aok:

Power Corruption & Lies

Billy/anyone else a fan of New Order

Peter Hook and The Light will be performing Low-Life and Brotherhood in their entirety and in track order live at The Picturehouse in Holmefirth later in the year.  I'll be there.  Inspiral Carpets are on there next month so I'll be taking that one in too.  Sadly I'll miss The Levellers there at the end of July as I'm away on hols.

I saw the Inspirals in Sheffield a few years back. That was wrong. Packed with 50 year old Baggies.

Did he actually put the shirt in the boys hands or did he just throw it into the crowd? My recollection is that as he sat down he tossed his shirt into the crowd a couple of young lads grabbed for it and the woman came away with it. Not saying it's right but if it was a random throw into the crowd different matter than actually taking it off someone who was actually given it. Who ended up with Copps shirt at Brentford, bet there was a bit of a tug and war then.

It looked like he threw it to a group of kids - as usual, there was a bit of a tug for it, but then when this boy had it, the woman snatched it off him.

Kids scrapping over it is one thing, an adult taking it off a kid is plain wrong.
