 According to Paul Mayfield, we had sold out our allocation an d he was predicting 2,000 before the pay on the day fans, there seems to be a discrepancy somewhere along the line. Maybe they are trying to kid the Vat man!!!!!!!

i based that on history and the number of buses we had taken, normally its 3 or 4 to 1 ratio the number travelling on the coaches   we had 11 coaches at the game, so about 500 on the coaches, we had sold out our allocation  but with pay on the day, a local fixture with less than 90 minutes travelling time and the amount of fans travelling on train etc,  my guestimat yesterday was about 1700-1800 rovers fans.

This is the most repeated argument on football forums - Official stat says 1000, but we brought loads more than that...etc etc. Funny thing is it's always the away team who think they brought more fans the the official figures. You see it all the time no matter what ground or what team. Anyone would think it was a popularity contest which decided the points.

No the home team's fans thought the same benaldo. We just need some of our folk to stop singing banal chants i.e ''Bury's a shithole I want to go home'' etc..............we need an anthem urgently. We should be singing about our town and our players not that shite

The Rob Jones/ Gold song was sung with gusto before the kick-off- then sadly disappeared once the game started. I agree- I'd have rather heard that than "Bury's a sh*thole..."

This morning, shopping at Morrisons in Solihull they were playing "Gold" as their "in-store mucic experience." I found myself singing the Rob Jones version. The Brummies must have thought I was mad!

 I remember being at Belle Vue on many occasion and laughing when the crowd was announced. In our last season there when we played Derby in the League Cup the gate was announced as around 5,500 and the away end was full for a start.

Hmmm not sure at what time that picture was taken but the rows in front of me were full until all hope was lost ( after about 20 mins  ). On that picture they have all left.
