According to the BBC we need a maximum of 8 points to clinch the title. Will be less if Plymouth drop points, and we win. They play Pompey on Friday.
-
If we win both games over Easter and Pompey beat them on Good Friday does that mean we can win it at home to Blackpool?

If we win both games and they lose to Pompey - that puts us on 90, them still on 78, that leaves them needing 12 points from 4 games, so even if they win their Easter Monday game v Newport they'd have to beat us on goal difference which if those results happen we'd be around 20 goals better off. If they lost or drew v Newport then we'd be champions officially.
It's late so I hope that's right.
-
We're playing some useful sides on the run in, expect a few twists and turns yet, I expect us to get the title......the Donny way
-
Yeah that !
-
Plymouth bas**rd argyle seem to be like the worst case of the flu ,as it seems that rovers just can't shake them off .
1 > 0 down at crawley and all was cushdy ,then it was 1 > 1 which is do able but in 90+4min up pops a Taylor and bags a 1 > 2 away win.
How many times have they done that this term?
If only rovers had put all their penaltys away this season ,but that's football for yers I guess.
So blackpool at home could be a party at KMS if I read things correct.
-
BBC are wrong then, we technically need 10 points for the title. 6 points clear with 15 available to Plymouth.

No sweat ... Plymouth were fortunate to do us 1-0 but then could not do Accrington Stanley at home 6 days later.
I have no doubt we will be Champions. We may get the foot off the throttle / on the beach / job done cliches but I am sure we are good enough to prevail AND our Manger and the Players will want to prevail for their CV's and memories in the future
....and as they say with 6 Points lead with 5 to play (and currently in good form) I know which Team I would sooner be !

Newport are scrapping for their lives right now - unreal just how well they've done to claw their way back to within touching distance of safety. Hartlepool away could be a big one for the hosts at this rate... so it'll be by no means a walkover for Plymouth.

I make it 9 Points
If PAFC win all 5 games (very unlikely) they will have 93 Points and an vastly inferior GD (16 adrift of us) . We already have 84 so 3 wins would put us on 93 and the GD wont be massively affected in each Teams 5 games (i.e. there WONT be a 16 goal swing) so we would win the Title with a GD of about 12 or 13

Still technically 10 though Wolfy as Plymouth in theory winning their 5 games 3 or 4 nil would wipe out their inferior goal difference and a couple of defeats for us could put them with a better one. Unlikely I know but.....
-
The bbc probably wrote 8 points before the end of the game where Plymouth won yesterday?
10 points now, is correct. But as with the promotion target, this may come down.
We need Pompey to win on Friday.
Yes, if Plymouth lose then draw, and we win both the next two games, then we can be champions on Easter Monday. But we have 5 games to get the points..
-
That Pompey v pilgrims game is on sky sports I think .
You just know that them in green/black will hit a last min winner since it's an away game .
On me holidays then so will watch it in a pub somewhere
-
Twists and turns there may be but our name is all but inscribed on the trophy - job well done.
-
Hope Pompey beat Plymouth on Friday aswell. Its all in our hands though anyway.
I think the top 3 is all but sorted anyway and i think Pompey might just nick second place. Behind us of course.
-
I know someone who has a got a big bet riding on the champions of the 4 major leagues, wants them to finish as they stand now
-

Some nice prices there. Brighton were a good call to finish above Newcastle. 7/4 Newcastle were at the start of the season, very short that.
-
Fergie' 4th promotion byt no titles to his name, he'll get the team up for the title, don't worry, and probably better for us that we're playing teams who will be trying to win
-
Absolutely delighted and ecstatic about promotion and I'd have settled for that in august but my £50 on us at 10/1 to win the title is burning a hole in my pocket and am desperate for us to be champions! Hope it happens soon so I can relax in the legends bar v Exeter (last yrs ST promotion) and v Hartlepool. Come on boys, you know it makes sense!!
😎

Stitched on ... though I know that is easy for me to say !
Just to annoy me we will win all 5 and end up with 99 points and exactly 100 goals !

Me too LR as I would happily let you buy me a drink in the Legends bar with your winnings😄
-
Yes depending on Fridays results, Easter Monday could be very exciting. We could win the title outright or jay needing a point to nullify the goal difference scenario. Let's hope Pompey win and us of course and see where it takes us. happy times
-

We technically dont need any points due to being ahead. Plymouth could lose all 5 games...

Plymouth play better away, so its not inconsiderable that they scarp a draw at Pompey and lose at home to Newport. They have lost at home to Leyton Orient and Notts County this season. I can't see them catching us.

I know it goes against the grain but why don't you open a betfair account and LAY the Rovers to lose the title for £500. It won't cost much as we are very long odds on.
In 2003 I had £20 EW on us at 33/1. Near the end of the season I backed Hull to win the same amount so I could relax for the last 3 games.
-
Just checked betfair. To win £500 should Rovers lose the title would cost £35 at the current odds of 1.07.
-
About 1/12 on the machine I think. I stand to win plenty if we win the league. I'll take my chance and let it run. Plymouth just seem so inconsistent. If they were flying I might have thought differently.
-
It's ours to lose.
-

Weakened and had £25 on Plymouth at 20/1 with sky bet - unless Pompey do us both I'm guaranteed £500 winnings (minus stakes of course). Mixed feelings really, as I don't like betting against us, but bit of a no-brainer really to guarantee (nearly) a good win and didn't cost too much to guarantee it!
Now it's just for the pride! Come on rovers!!!!! :rtid:
-
If Plymouth lose both games over the weekend, the title could be ours on Easter Monday.
-
If Plymouth lose both games over the weekend, the title could be ours on Easter Monday.
That's exactly what I was thinking, still think it'll get done at Wycombe personally.
-
Plymouth have a capacity to self explode, can see Pompey nicking 2nd place off them. I'm an optimist, be nice to get the title on Easter Monday.
-
Won't be decided on Easter Monday.
-
Won't be decided on Easter Monday.
You're right, it won't be decided mathematically, but a win for us and a loss for Plymouth and the title is all but decided - no way they'll turn around the goal difference even if we lose our last 3 games, which I'm sure we won't! Monday could go a long way to deciding the outcome.

Agree, we'll all be rooting for Newport on Monday.
-
To give the Newport v Plymouth game a true perspective it should be noted that although Newport are in the bottom two, since mid January they have picked up 24 points from 17 games.
That is decent mid table form and added to the fact that they are fighting for survival it adds up to a tough day ahead for Plymouth.
I could see them getting a draw.

Good grief Bob G is speechless .......... must be a 1st😀
-
Maybe he has same problem as me. If I want to put an Imoji like Yeah that I have to first put a character in a blank box (like a full stop) as he has done and post the item
Then I have to press "Modify" and the Emojis and other enhancements are available so I remove the full stop and add the Emoji or change the font colour etc
Maybe Bob fell asleep between the full stop and the "going back" to modify? Apologies if anyone has fallen asleep reading this ! I would add something now but they are not available to me !
-
DW - what platform and browser are you using? For me (PC/Windows/Firefox) just previewing the message makes the emoticons available before having to post anything.
-
Yeah. Press preview.
-
Maybe Bob was still processing what the Hound had just said.

.
I can see Bob's point

I wanted to see what a full stop looked like.... Quite cute don't you think?

Is the title slipping away from us, and heading to the SW?
-
It's still in our hands. We need a win on Saturday.
-
Wycombe won't be a push over, especially with the Beast playing for them.
-
If we dont win it we only have ourselfs to blame, losing the game against Plymouth, not beating Newport, we always have to make it hard for ourselfs.
-
I think this is going to the last day. It's Donny Rovers, we just don't do things simple.
-
THe worry for me is not our ability it's lack of players. We're missing a large amount now.
-
I think we've blown it.
-
We need to beat Wycombe.
-
EVEN if we lose next week and Plymouth win (not a given at Colchester) we are still ahead on GD. I fancy us to win the last two. Yes both sides will have something to play for so won't be easy but we should get a result at home to Exeter and should put Hartlepool away, they clearly aren't a good side.
-
I wonder how many on here that didn't want us to win the title at Wycombe now think differently?
-
Don't we always need a bit of last day drama as rovers fans? Not gonna be any different this year
-
Some really big knee jerk reactions on here tonight.
This is far from over and we will still win the title.
-
We're still in pole position, but two wins from four sounded an easier task than 2 from 3.
Missed Coppinger and Butler today. At times we seemed to lack any leadership at all.
-
To be fair, whenever Copps doesn't play we do miss him.
Butler is maligned by many but he is also very important to the team.
He will be back next week apparently, and possibly Mandeville too.
-
Also Mc. C and a full back. At least there will be no argument next week that Blair has filled in as a full back after the game,
-
When our side loses a game we get a reaction next game. Plymouth have as tough a game as you would want with Colchester they won't roll them over like they did Newport. We will win the title by six points.
-
Agree, Colchester are chasing a play-off place so will give Plymouth a hard time. But so could Wycombe with us, they are on the same points as Colchester, 62.
-

Any side at this level would miss those two that's for sure. I think Rowe try's organising and barks orders more than Copps does in midfield. It was noticeable a few times yesterday.
-

On Plymouth site, they are claiming they will win the title...They are congratulating their manager for hoodwinking Donny with his comment and gamesmanship they say that they had given up on the title, claiming they have fooled Donny and more so they are looking forward to wiping the smirk off Mr Ferguson jnr's face as they say.
-
I've learned watching the Rovers that it's better to keep a dignified silence.
That way if or when things go wrong you don't look a prat.
Some of the ones that moan the most are the same ones that shout the loudest and gloat when things are going well.
What will be will be. I don't think that DF bought it for a minute.
-
Neither do I but they think he did
-
Last time we went up from this division we lost the next game after promotion to a rubbish seaside team (Torquay) have faith we will be champions
-
Plymouth are still 6/1 in a two horse race to win the title.
-
FORGIVE ME i AM NOT A BETTING MAN. DOES THAT MEAN THEY ARE EXPECTED TO WIN IT
-
FORGIVE ME i AM NOT A BETTING MAN. DOES THAT MEAN THEY ARE EXPECTED TO WIN IT
No 1/6 would mean they were expected to win it
Wat you could do is put a Tenner on PAFC to win the Title and get £70 back if they do. So much as you dislike them and would be gutted if they pip us - you have £60 winnings to offset that "pique"
-
We're still odds on.
-
Ah that makes me a bit more happier. JT you have known me since we were kids, when have you known me spend money like that.
-
FORGIVE ME i AM NOT A BETTING MAN. DOES THAT MEAN THEY ARE EXPECTED TO WIN IT
How can they be expected to win it?? You don't need to know about gambling to know we are massive favourites.
-
Had a fiver on us at 11/1 to win the title last August . still think we will . but as a get out i have had a fiver on Plymouth at 6/1. Only down side if us and Plymouth cock up and Portsmouth happen to win it which is highly unlikely (50/1) We are 1/10 to win it ie. you have to put a tenner on to win a quid !
-
Enough Enough . I can't take any more
-
I think this Saturday's set of fixtures will have a big say where the title is heading. We only need to match Plymouth's results between now and the end of the season and the title is ours, plus we have a better GD.
-
bump.
-
Ah that makes me a bit more happier. JT you have known me since we were kids, when have you known me spend money like that.
Good point !
-
Ours to loose!
-
Stop fretting we will win our next two.
-
If DF has staged managed this then he's confident in himself and perhaps more confident in the players than we are.
I think he knowingly took a risk which he was prepared to lose v Blackpool. Why? I'm not entirely sure what he was trying to prove. (Maybe justifying to all and sundry that certain players are not up to it)
It'll be interesting to see the starting line up on Saturday as it seems like he'll have them coming out all guns blazing to get the job finished.
-
Yes a conundrum for sure
If he was "stage managing" and we are armed with the right info - you would think he would have gone all out for a win v Blackpool hoping at the same time for a Plymouth "loss".
Title almost done and dusted and then retire Baudry and others and play the less experienced / or those returning from injury
However as they say in American Court dramas " Objection - Calls for speculation" - and so perhaps we will never know for sure
-
I think folks are over analysing. DF picked a team to try and beat Blackpool, and on the first half performance we should have done so comfortably.
-
IMO DF has tried to manipulate a tiring squad with niggling injuries through 2 games in 4 days in the hope of picking up a couple of draws with the intention of most having a few days to recharge between Monday & Saturday.
Fresh legs of a few at Wycombe will see us through.

It appears if that is the case and I will not argue it, that he was prepared to lose infront of home fans or so it would appear

Got to agree - the old cliche - Goals change games springs to mind !

We will never know but as IDM says he picked a Team he thought could have seen us see off Blackpool and so easily could have done if we had scored early on.
With just 10 men we should have at least got a draw and by god given the events I would have been ecstatic
-
People act like Blackpool destroyed us. They didn't, we was the bettet side first half. They look dangerous on the counter attack but we looked like the team most likely to score. It only changed when we went down to 10 men
-
We will win tomorrow and Colchester will do us a favour and win 2-1 and then we can all relax.
-
Just need to concentrate on ourselves. Win the games and let the other worry and try and play catch-up
-
Spot on Belle_Vue. We don't need to worry about Plymouth's results, if we win our games they can win all of theirs and get nothing for it. Whose position would we choose to be in... Ours or Plymouth's?
-
We simply have to match or better Plymouth's results and the Title is ours. I can see it going to the last game.
-
Yep Brentford all over again. But without the penalty drama, we know they can score penalties as they did at Keepmoat
-
still 2 points ahead, but is it slipping?
-
It's a funny old game.
-
It's absolutely sickening, but it would be the most Rovers thing ever to blow it.
-
It won't be the end of the world if we get gubbed on the line. We did it to Bournemouth and they haven't done too badly since.
I just hope Lincs collects on one of his bets!
-
....aye and Brentford themselves aint done bad either since then have they ?
-
Or Hullz
-
Don't really think football works like that...
-
Those clubs have had a fair bit of money anyway. The only club that could do as well as them would be Portsmouth out of the three currently going up. We should be aiming to be like Barnsley, signing young players from lower leagues and developing players in our youth team, we can't sign ready made players for a couple of million. We would kind of be a selling club but developing and selling off for a profit hasn't done Barnsley, Southampton, Ajax too bad, they've all progressed from it.
-
It would be a major disappointment and Fergie would get fingers pointed at him if we ended up second. When things are going well that's when i worry with Fergie last season his mind wandered beyond a game at a time and i think he's done it again.
If we didn't win it he wouldn't have failed promotion was always number one and he has dealt well with many different situations there have just been times where we could have pulled away from the others and little decisions by him and a few errors from the players have meant it's still very tight.
In a way it does the manager a favour because expectations would have been through the roof if we had walked it i still think there's time to win it quite comfortably because Plymouth know how to mess up as we do. Whatever happens from now well done to the manager and lads for achieving what they have.
-
Pompey are 25/1 In a three horse race!
-
Been on Plymouth site and they are bemoaning the fact that they have Mr Kettle on Saturday, all bad comments except a few good ones that Mr K upset Sarren Ferguson earlier in the season and that has made some happy. Well DRFC Players it is up to you. It says on the OS from Coppinger that the players are up for the fight, has anyone tried opening that thread ??????
-
Pompey are 25/1 In a three horse race!
Rightly so. They need a huge swing in results to win the league.
2 points and they can't catch us.
-
Saturday will show if the players are bothered or not. It has to be 3 points, a loss and we've thrown it all away!!
-
Fully agree Popstander - beating Exeter is a must that will then need us only needing a point at Hartlepool to clinch the title irrespective what Plymouth do - if they win both they will not overturn a probable 9 goal difference. It really is ours to lose but the Exeter game will make or break our season IMHO.
-
I thought beating Mansfield and gaining promotion made our season, not going up as champions will not break our season.
-
Promotion was always the aim, but having been top since December no one can say it's acceptable to loose it at the end
-
We simply have to match or better Plymouth's results and the Title is ours. I can see it going to the last game.
have u not seen pompey coming in like a steam train on the rails!!!!! they arnt out of it yet!
-
Beat Exeter on Saturday and Portsmouth are out of it even if they win.
-
Too few games for Portsmouth. They've been the best team in the second half of the season though.
-

We were brilliant when we beat them though. One of our best performances this season overall i thought.
Its between us and Plymouth.
-

Now YOU are on the same wavelength as me, It would be disastrous

Exactly my thoughts. It really would be a collapse if we don't win the league.
-
I think that going up as Champions keep momentum going.
To miss out on top spot from where we were would leave the season finishing on a flat spot in my opinion.
The players would also be down a notch after missing out on a medal.
-
Well i for one don't think they are already on the beach (as some have suggested).
Chances to win medals don't come along too often and they will all be desperate to get this one.
Lots of changes in the team haven't helped and maybe nerves are playing a part.
No way they won't be trying though.
If we get in front on Saturday and if the crowd get behind the team i would expect us to go on and win the game.
-
They are certainly NOT on the beach. Foot has come off the throtle but believe me DF and the players want that title and those wimnners medals.
There has been too much tinkering with the team, some of it has been forced due to injuries. I do think quite a few players are playing with injuries at the moment and a couple a looking a bit weary.
I am sure they will be firing on all cylinders on Saturday and the return of Matty Blair will help. We missed him at Wycombe.
Come on lads 2 wins to finish the season and we are Champions, it's in our own hands still and that's the most important thing. :scarf:
-
A win and a draw will do. Two clean sheets would go a long way to helping that aim.
-
A win and a draw will do. Two clean sheets would go a long way to helping that aim.
Yes correct Idler but 2 wins would be a good end to the season and I said we would win it by a 10 point margin so to win it by at LEAST 2 points is better than winning it on goal difference.
Having said that LETS JUST WIN THE TITLE PLEASE. :woohoo:
-
A win may yet be enough depending on what Plymouth do on Saturday.
-
If we can score first early I think we will see off Exeter. So important we don't go behind early to them as they will sit deep and make life even more difficult for us. I am sure the players will be up for it as all footballers crave a league title medal and our boys are in touching distance- come on you reds let's finish it in style - I would take 1-0 now!! :clapping: :rtid:
-
If we draw then win, would the trophy be at Hartlepool or would we get it at a trophy presentation again?...
-
We only need to match Plymouth's results and we are champions.
-
We only need to match Plymouth's results and we are champions.
And if we do would the trophy be at Hartlepool?..
-
What about Portsmouth winning two if us and Plymouth lose?
-
Pompey would have to win both their games and both us and Plymouth lose our last two games, possible but unlikely.
-
That is why the last two games are so annoying. Two draws and we would have been coasting now.
-
If we draw then win, would the trophy be at Hartlepool or would we get it at a trophy presentation again?...
Probably in the middle of June.
-
The fact is, only one team could actually clinch the title on Saturday and that is us if the results go the right way.
It would be prudent of the EFL to have the trophy at the KMS just in case it happens.
-
I agree but do you remember Bournemouth crying over the very same issue a few years ago. I would really like to win it I would reall like to sink Hartlepool and my season would be complete. I Thank You
-
I do remember the Bournmouth thing bally but on that day there were two teams which could have won the title that day.
-
And I know the one that pissed off Jeff Stelling and paul Walsh who was all Brentford at the time of the penalty.
-
I do remember the Bournmouth thing bally but on that day there were two teams which could have won the title that day.
There should have been a replica at Griffin Park. Did they not do this in 2012 when either Manchester club could've won it?
-
I've looked for the video of when the Bournemouth fans were on the pitch chanting "we want our trophy" when the news came through that Rovers had scored a bloke is on his mobile and he was in the middle of the chant when the video is cut just as the first "Oh F....." is said :bscarf:
-
Raven would be great to see that again
-
Who were Bournemouth playing?
-
Who were Bournemouth playing?
Tranmere?
-
Tranmere I believe, the team who imploded from top to finish 7th and then suffered back-to-back relegations in subsequent years.
-
Of course my memory has gone
-
Tranmere I believe, the team who imploded from top to finish 7th and then suffered back-to-back relegations in subsequent years.
Was it you who ridiculed me for thinking Tranmere's form was unsustainable when Jake Cassidy was originally recalled by Wolves?

My memory doesn't stretch back that far, but it could well have been.
Whatever happened to him?

i think I am correct in saying they finished 11th

You are correct, their capitulation was even worse than I thought. Incidentally the team that did finish 7th was Leyton Orient, who have suffered a similar decline since then.

Went back to Wolves, did f**k all, they sent him back to Tranmere when they imploded, did f**k all.
Guisely he plays for these days.

Well checked on Plymouth again, They are backing themselves to win 4 - 0 and Exeter to put 6 past Donny. Real dreamers.
Pompey site, full of doom and gloom not much of a mention about football but the proposed take over is looking doomed and there could be a hefty cash flow problem they say - a similar deal to an off-shore one to Donny's £10m but more likely to be £5.6m The first figure "May" be used for the team...They are also pointing out that the Southampton deal is not looking healthy. So I think and could well be wrong that Plymouth are the big gob shites and Portsmouth are the realists, no mention of them getting Championship BUT again Cook could be keeping the lid on the pudding.
-
I think i read somewhere last week that Cook is likely to go without adding much to the squad for next season.
He reckons his current squad are mostly good enough for L1.
I wonder whether he has been told in advance that not much funding will be available to him?

Good morning....today is the day I suspect...
Bally...no-one honestly thinks the six toes will score six against you but we are pleased that any victory they have today if they do will be tinged with regret they have helped us....
Truth is you cab draw and stuff Hartlepool and that will be enough...
Our home form cost us the title....but our away form kept us in the f=race so we need to win twice and then whatever you do you do...
I think you will win today and be champions next week....but we do at least have Reid Allesandra and Rooney lining up for your opponents who still have green blood we hope....
Either way we both had the seasons we hoped for...see you next season!
-
I'm glad you've gone up as well so I can spend a few days in Looe and take in the game. Works perfectly for me being a Kernow/Yorkshire mongrel.
-
I'm not. f**king seven hour journey there on the coach. Journey home is absolutely horrendous, more so if you lose.

You are welcome. It is good to see some sense. I congratulate you on your promotion as well, I see under "The Vultures are Circling" you are going to be raided by Barnet someone suggest/ Well that would be a big fall down for any player to gain promotion and then settle to play in the same league the following term. On that I know Marquis did at Northampton but he was only on loan thankfully. Good Luck and see you next season but could we have three points please ?
Either way we both had the seasons we hoped for...see you next season!
-
Plymuff do not want Exeter to win, they want Donny to lose .???????????????????????????? Beyond me
-
It's just easier to say...
I hope Exeter come through the play-offs...shorter travel and better gates...
Lets be honest in the normal course of events Plymouth and Doncaster have no natural rivalry...solets enjoy the fact one of us can be Champions....
Mind you having the trophy there when a win keeps us in it...not sure I'd have made that public!
Looe is lovely...I lived along the coast in Downderry for a few years before I exiled myself to Kent...
No lose for me though Exeter get a point or three good for us..they lose...never a bad thing!

My wife's good friend lived at The Dairy, Downderry.
The Prowse family.
-
Plymouth deserve the title because we have given it to them through such poor form.

Doncaster Rovers - Disgraceful after getting promoted, served that up to the fans since game 41. Rubbish.......
-
Plymouth deserve the title because we have given it to them through such poor form.
A month or two ago Plymouth were losing games at home to keep us top.
Now we have returned the favour.
-
Not sure Plymouth deserve the title really. There's been a hatful of games where we've done our best to gift it to them and most weeks they've been as bad as us results wise. It's only the last bit of the run-in where we've lost every game they've been able to haul us in.

They have the most points over 45 games, they deserve to be there
-
I think that even playing as shit as we have been we can beat the hangers. Will the cod heads want to play to win or just dream about being in the beach
-
bas**rds.
Why are you always the expert in lowering the tone with your vile gutter language.
-
Aww did a naughty word make you sad? :(
-
DRFC Hound
I went to school with Roger & Derek Prowse...and I have a vague recollection of a younger Anthony(??)...plus I am sure they had a sister who used to get up and dance in the pub hotel my parent ran (The Seaview Inn)
I believe the dairy now a restaurant based on a conversation with someone who attended my father in law funeral earlier this year...
If your wife was local she'll also know Bill Hocking! oldest working fisherman in the Uk until recently....
-
My wife is a Yorkshire girl mate but she was at University in Chichester with Jill Prowse who lived at The Dairy.
I guess she must have been the daughter that you're telling me about.
-
Jill sounds familiar....
If your good lady still in touch ask her if she remembers dancing to Pretty Woman in the Seaview lounge bar !!
Long time since I have been back to Downderry....I am in Kent these days and my other half only wants t go to guaranteed heat fir holidays!
Best of luck for Saturday (back on topic)....typical Argyke this season to get the ole pole position then slip up,,,albeit out=r away for better than at home...
Anyone but Pompey!!
-
Well the wait is almost over, we will soon see who will lift the title.
-
Anyone else's arse nipping?
-
sticky bum time :pinch:
-
Squeaky bum time...sticky bum a whole different issue :)
so the perfect script...Pompey runuo a hatful ve Cheltenham while we both struggle....
Into added time.....Louis Rooney nets his first on loan at Hartlepool as Graham Carey marks his hundredth appearance with a trademark 25 yard free kick...
He then grabs the mike at the trophy ceremony and announces his commitment to Argyle with a three year deal
Nurse ..\I need my medication again...I keep having those dreams again
Nurse, nurse

Good Luck to you all on the final day of this season and see you again next time around. Safe journey there and home is more important than football, we will all be enemies for 90 mins and wish the worst on each other's team but we cannot change what will be, somebody will be Champions, somebody will be second and somebody will be third, only thing is tomorrow it will all be over. RTID :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:
-
.... AND all 3 Teams and their Fans will be a Division higher next Season.

The trophy was at Doncaster last weekend as we were the only side who could have secured the title that day.
Maybe having it there was a bad omen?
Good luck today, if you win and finish top you will deserve the title. If we do, so will we - Pompey too. Yes it is a cliche but the table doesn't lie after 46 games...
-
At the end of the day we are all fans and have all tasted enough defeats and successes over the years to cope with either disappointment or elation.
Let's hope that it's the latter in our case.
-
Agreed...we would have taken promotion in third by a scrappy 93rd minute og draw and goal difference of -20 vs -21 at season start...
I think we will have too much for the Codheads but I would love an early goal to settle us...
Our tendency is to sit back though....so I shall be watching your game on Sky through my fingers
See you next season...who do you want Forest Brum or Blackburn!
-
Brum deffo.
-
Blackburn is about an hour or so drive for me. Brum would bring more fans to ours though.
-
The interesting thing is that Birmingham and Blackburn are two of only 11 sides that we have never finished higher than in the football league. That is as long as we agree that we finished higher than Tottenham and Chelsea in 1901-2 when we were in Div 2 and they were not in the league at all.
-
Birmingham. Redknapp is a cock, and I'd love to see them go down.
-
Love to see Brum relegated, only because their late goal sent us down a few seasons ago. Oh and Redknapp as well, but mainly that late goal.
COYR
-
My hopes for today, we do the business and beat the Poolies, and that the Codheads give Plymouth a game and the Codheads avoid defeat thereby giving us the title.

Works for me

Title currently making its way to the KM.

Plymouth coming back ffs
-
Ferguson f@$&s up again by taking Copps off, when will he learn?
-
So lets take off Copps & put McSheffrey on 5mins later. He has lost the plot!!
-
Why have we got no defenders back!!
-
Ferguson f@$&s up again by taking Copps off, when will he learn?
He can't do full 90. He said it himself.

Was the wrong sub bringing on ats for copps ffs

Well done Rovers, thanks for fooking up the end of the season, how can you let a lead like you had go?

Poor management contributed to it.

We blew it!
