Reports coming out of Italy that the judge has ruled that Leeds owner Cellino did act dishonestly with his recent tax issues..I do believe that fails him for the fit and proper persons test..So will the FL play by there own rules or will they find a way round it to accomadate the big club mentality..I suspect the latter...

It can't be a coincidence that these nefarious characters keep turning up at this club. You get the impression that the majority of their supporters are getting exactly what they deserve however.
Good riddance if the FL do have the balls to do what they've promised.

Football is NOT an ordinary business, we all know that, and shouldn't ever fall under the same rules as that. The rules the FL have made are in accordance with it being a special case.

The alternative is people buy a club on the cheap and sell it's assets.

There's no duobt about it, the man should go, he IS a crook.

I don't disagree with what you say, however when it comes to the law of the land then he'll have that on his side. If he's allowed to trade in the UK, which he is, if he's allowed to buy any business he likes, which he can, and if he's allowed to register with HMRC and other regularity bodies then the precedence that the FL (or PL) want to set will be severely tested.

Worrying thought you put forwards there SM. If your forecast comes to fruition it will leave the FA with precisely zero teeth. They will be without any means of assessing the suitability of individuals who can afford, or wangle a deal, to buy a club. The fit and proper test would be, effectively, dead.

Remember that ex copper Bean who became the first FA compliance czar? He resigned, didn't he, all those years ago beacuse the FA wouldn't do, or let him do, the job properly. He must be reight proper chuffed with this news...... Not.
