Best news here is Gomes and JJ back on the bench. Given Moore’s reluctance to commit to time frames and insistence that they’d only be brought back when ready it’s a good indication that they’re near enough back to full fitness.

It's not covered by iFollow as it isn't an EFL competition, there's an audio pass if you really want it. They've just said it's available on red button but I've got the iPlayer app on my sky box so I dunno how it works on red button.

The red button has Radio Cumbria commentary on it. If you’ve got a tv license then it’s free. It’s free if you haven’t a license but if you get caught it will cost!

Does the iplayer commentator even know there's a pandemic going on... ?    An away draw at a big boy in the 3rd round is life changing? Is it really? Empty old Trafford?    So basically the same money as a non league club at home..   Great homework done there....

They've also never seen us play and got no clue about us. They "heard Whiteman is quite good" and beforehand were talking about Darren Moore just joining us after a good spell at West Brom.

Joys.

Mute it if you don’t like it. We’re available to watch in a game we weren’t expecting to be, it’s a pretty minor downside in the grand scheme of things.

His afternoon might be over now. Bad dummy by Richards left him with a bit of a hospital pass and he came off worse in a 50:50.

Seems I'm not the only one annoyed by it. They should be better than this when they're employed to cover football games.

I'm not enjoying the experience but it's the only way I can watch it. Doesn't mean I have to be enjoying it.

I am of course glad we are winning.

Elsewhere in the competition....all the other games are even at half time. Except at Bristol where the other Rovers are giving Darlo a bit of a tonking. Don't think we'll be going to County Durham in the 3rd round then.

OK display - have to agree that Feiji looks like he is two seconds behind everything... and when he got a chance he scuffed it.  We look a bit lightweight in areas.... or maybe not fully committed,,?   I like the look of Mellish from the Carlisle team - looks like he has a bit about him.

Had to turn commentary down with it being ahead of the action but no probs with their comments recognising our quality.

Perhaps you can see why DM will err towards John at left back as Amos is still learning and developing but doesn't quite have the same strength although Amos may be technically better. Amos time will come hopefully.

Carry on boys.

Fejiri isn't a big lad really, is he? That's one of the reasons he doesn't work as a lone striker. He's 6 foot tall and about average build, hardly a big physical forward like a Chris Brown.

Just seen the summary on BBC2

She watched a different game to me. Said Carlisle were the better side?

They were poor. Wasteful in front of goal, intent on moaning and kicking us and based their threat primarily on foul throws.

A stark reminder of how much worse it could be if we were still a perennial League Two side.

I think Fej plays only to be a handful for opposing defenders hopefully giving others in our team space to score..

Because if we relied on his goal return we would be rather baron in the goals for column!

Maybe he’s just not a REAL lone striker and isn’t suitable for our style

I think Fej plays only to be a handful for opposing defenders hopefully giving others in our team space to score..

Because if we relied on his goal return we would be rather baron in the goals for column!

Maybe he’s just not a REAL lone striker and isn’t suitable for our style

He’s not very good at being a handful

He made up the numbers, that's something.

Fej very disappointing again.
I don’t like being negative but he’s really not good enough.
I struggle to see what he offers.

I was also disappointed with Danny Amos. He couldn’t cope with their right winger and looked slow and indecisive. This was an opportunity for him and he didn’t take it. I had my heart in my mouth every time he got the ball or was challenged by his opponent.

Ben Whiteman showed his class, and Sims brilliant again.
Another shout-out from me for Brad Halliday. Superb performance again, what a player he has turned out to be.

how many of their long throws been legal?

Yep, I thought that too.
Not seen any slow motion clips but the throw in style did look very suspect.

So he had a crap game on Sunday but how many goals has he scored this season.?

Where is he in our top scorers list.?

By all means criticise a poor performance but at least recognise what the lad has done in terms of goals so far..
