Jason Scotland

Looks like the whispers of him being a loan target won't be bearing any fruit.

Reporting on SSN now that Wigan have accepted a bid from Ipswich for him and he's in talks. It also says on there that Ross McCormack's talking to them, they must be planning some departures or they'll have a proper embarassment of striking riches down there.

Could well be a force this year after a disappointing first season under Keane.

Maybe Steads large wages  :)  will balance it out if he leaves, whether it is to Cardiff or elsewhere.

Move to Ipswich has been delayed as he wants to talk to two other interested Championship clubs.

Hmmm.

Can't for a minute see us tempting him with a bigger offer than he'll get from them.

No me either but money isn't everything. I think he probably learnt that moving from Swansea to Wigan.

I think we need to go for someone young, how about that tom eaves bolton have just signed. He seems a good prospect and can't see him getting into the first team at this present time, maybe worth a loan deal??

I had a dream about him donning the hoops about a week ago. You never know.

Having watched Jason Scotland embarrass himself on more than one occasion for Wigan last season, it certainly wouldn't do him any harm to drop to a club like ourselves where he would probably be one of the biggest players at the club. If he knocked a dozen or more goals in per season, got his confidence levels back up again, then he could still be a pretty decent striker for someone.

All that said, I reckon Scotland is more likely to sign for Ipswich because of the money where he will be a mediocre player in comparison to the others they have.

And if the Tractor Boys do get McCormack or Scotland (or both), then it'll certainly push the already transfer listed Jon Stead closer to the exit door.

They've already got Priskin, Walters and Wickham! I'd take any one of them!!
