Since we last scored first in a game. Crawford away at Rochdale. Might help us in terms of confidence if we could take the lead.

The first goal in a match is very important with respect to the final outcome of the game.

Recently I looked up some stats and found that the team that scores first wins the game 69% of the time.
In only 12% of games does the team that scores first go on to lose.
The other 19% of games end in a draw.

I know that stats can vary from one poll to another but the above does give an indication of the importance of scoring first.

how does this pan out for Donny?  Just on recall (my memory is poor) haven't we come from behind to win quite a lot this season? (no smut intended)

This season's league games:
We scored first and won 6
Scored first and drew 1
Scored first and lost 0

Oppostion scored first and won 6
Opp scored first and drew 1
Opp scored first and lost  2

So come from behind twice. In our games the team scoring first wins 75% of the time, loses 12% of the time.
