I think you need to enjoy it while you can Fuzzy, there are serious moves afoot to consign any atmosphere at a football game in Europe to the UK dustbin! Wherever football goes in this country the rest of UEFA want to follow, including the Germans and the replacement of their standing sections.

Fortunately the fans are now well organised and we have the FSE (Football Supporters Europe) a well organised and run group who have a strong voice and some clout;

 I hear you Silent one!

Something that is clear is that you get more anal-retentiveness in the top flight over here than you do further down.  I think that's because further down, they are more concerned about not upsetting fans as they need the bums on seats.

I love being able to stand at the football again and love how they don't mind if you have a beer at your seat/spot on the terrace while you watch the game.  But Swiss fans need to watch themselves.  At Winti, a bad decision from a linesman more often than not earns him a beer shower.  That's the surest way to bring it all to an end.

Today should be interesting.  I'm off to a friendly, Winti v St. Pauli.  I've a feeling its going to be a little different from an English friendly!  :woot:

Yup. Thanks for that Fuzzy. Another good read :) The interesting bit about the vid though was that manager chappie at about 30 seconds in. I didn't know Paul Jewell had upped sticks! Good riddance :)

Cheers
