Let's hope they are right. I guess we're after two defenders, but I would quite like to see a defender and a defensive midfielder brought in. I think we're missing Keegan badly and I wonder how long it will take him to get up to speed.

A defender is a must, and I would say a pacy attacking midfielder to help create for Williams and Main.

At least that, plus perhaps another CB and CM.

Whether you believe him or not, PD says he has been looking for more players all the time and has chased up this week.  We know that this season the club has made its transfer dealings very discretely, so who's to know what has been going on behind the scenes.

It will be interesting to see if there are any specific rumours for loanees?

I know what you mean, but I think it comes down to the quality of the players.

I remember times when we've added one good quality player and it's lifted the whole team.

It's getting beyond a joke now. Is it really that difficult to get the right players in? Even if we get 2 today (I agree we need a lot more), what chance have they got of integrating into the squad ready for tomorrow?. If we don't get anyone in I'd say its pretty obvious why.

Any more than 2 loans may not be sustainable!

I see in his column he is saying you cant legislate for the injuries weve got which I guess is true...But when your squads thinner than a racing snake to start with what just do you expect?? I don't rate the guy anymore I admit and would happily see him replaced but I cant help wonder wether it's his incompetence why we didn't bring the amount he said he needed in the summer or wether despite the assurances the board just don't want to spend the money and he cant say that...One of those statement is correct but which one????

I'm assuming it's not like championship manager, I think it would be quite difficult to get the right players in.
Clubs aren't going to let their better players just go, the only players were likely to get are youngsters from higher leagues and usually that don't happen until after the prem teams have announced their squads

How many players have we had injured since pre season. If we hadn't then the squad would be good enough.
I think most people would rather spend the budget on 6 good players than 9 average ones

Strangely dickos every other club has managed to get players in. We need a right back, 2 wingers and a pacey centre half we would be ok then

Every other club?
We've signed as many as most and our squad is as big or bigger than most.

We had a wafer thin squad last season but were lucky with injuries. Ten left in the summer and seven came in, so we were already three down on last season. We now have what you would say are at least five regular first teamers out injured. We need at least six new signings.

A wide player, hardly a priority

I disagree, we need someone of this like to cover for HF and add a bit of pace up top in place of Tyson.

I think a RB is of equal priority, as I said before.  There is one being discussed on the  Rumour Mill today.

Odd signing but still happy.

Could do with two defenders more though.

Could do with a striker to play up front with Andy Williams as well.

Yes, but we have another senior striker available. It's a question of priorities.

Main has been improving recently.  I always say he needs a run in the team to get going properly.  The priority is a defender, or two.

Pace is a massive priority,
Good signing
Without forester and Tyson were struggling for wingers

so we've got evina who's a full back and copps
Whitehouse is far from ready.
Most people on here have been bemoaning the lack of pace, so we sign someone with bags of it and it's not someone we need.
Getting silly now criticising for the sake of it

I didn't criticise the signing, just stated in my opinion the position he plays was not a priority given our defensive injuries
