GB News - Free Speech not free anymore
« on November 06, 2023, 09:22:57 pm by wilts rover »
I notice the (anti-Corbyn) journalist Michael Crick was kicked off GB News the other day. For criticising GB News during a debate about Free Speech!!!

It's only free if you agree with us. The fascists are here among us and staring us in the face:

G-beebies equals tory news.

The same as The Sun, Daily Mail and the rest of the billionaire oligarch press.

Back by hedge funs, oligarchs etc.

I don't know why normal working people watch it and people buy into what they say.

Same goes for Talk TV as well.

As the Covid Inquiry has revealed, Boris Johnson and Dominic Cummings are morbid symptoms of a sick system. At the heart of that sickness is the media''

The connection is that people have been barred from Twitter/X for saying what they didn't want them to say.

The connection is that people have been barred from Twitter/X for saying what they didn't want them to say.

People were suspended from Twitter for posting personal abuse, for deliberately and regularly posting demonstrable lies, and for posting messages that advocated violence.

Many of those have been reinstated since Musk took over.

Crick was booted off GB News for stating the demonstrable fact that GB News is a propaganda outfit.

But I'm sure there's a connection in you head between the two.

I wonder after the next election whether the current batch of MP reporters are still employed if they are no longer MPs?

Crick lied by stating Neil Oliver's claim that "the channel has made space for all kinds of voices" was untrue.

People are booted off Billy's beloved Twitter/X for lying, so, that can equally be called a site that doesn't allow freedom of speech. Yeah?

I don't give a stuff about Twitter, I don't do Twitter, and I'm definitely not interested in anything you think about Twitter.

Crick wasn't lying and GB News proved it by booting him. That's all.

Christ it's like dealing with a needy child.

1) Crick didn't lie.

2) People didn't get booted off Twitter for saying "No" to a leading question. They got suspended for systematically lying about matters of objective truth over long periods of time.

Do you get anything out of this debasing of yourself BB?

Crick was lying, and GB News consequently booted him off, which seems to be the media norm regarding the limits to the freedom of speech these days. He went on the channel to express his opinion that it should be closed down because they only have Tories on the show, despite him himself being a Labour supporter, and I hope his fee was withdrawn also when they kicked his arse out.

Crick was booted out for being a liar.

Proving that he wasn't lying!

According to Crick himself (and we only have his word as GB News has stayed schtum on the issue, a producer marched into the studio during the ad break, pointed at him angrily and shouted, "You! Out!" When Crick asked why, he was told it was because he was not allowing the presenter to move the subject on.

No mention of lying. But of course, there wouldn't be. Because he wasn't lying.

But Crick's a liar, as he proved on the show, so why should anyone other than someone on an agenda of Tory hate, like you, believe him?

They are not impartial either and have broken Ofcom rules too.
