Pre match nerves everyone?

Take a point. The mood in the camp, if Deano's interviews are anything to go by, seems very positive and they know that every point we gain over the opposition strengthens our position.  I'll be over the moon with a win!

Disappointed Clingan not starting instead of Harper and surprised Bennett straight back in.

Me thinks we could be starved of possession unless Keegan and Harper are on top form.

Nice to see Ball in there, hope he gets a chance. Surprised Bennett's starting but pleased, just hope he doesn't carry on how he was before he got injured.

If we can stay around the top after xmas and be in touch with the top 2, or even be 1 of the top 2 (you never know ;-)) i think we will be in an amazing position

Dec is definately a difficult month and we should not think we should walk it as that would be far too disrespectful to the other teams

Sounds like we need Clingan to me, someone to just sit and dictate the game and pick some passes out. Barely hearing a peep from any of the midfielders at the minute, Keegan I think has been mentioned twice all game.

Title: Re: Swindon v Donny
Post by: MachoMadness on December 08, 2012, 04:14:13 pm
Keegan's good at his job, works tirelessly to get his foot in but he lacks quality and he gets shown up when up against talented midfielders. Good for some games, doesn't sound like that's today though.

Hows Bennett doing?   Anyone know?

In and out of the game, though he hasn't got much service.

He may lack the quality of some of the midfielders we've had in recent years, but you can't fault his effort and commitment, looked ok to me in the Scunny game recently, however they were not great opposition..

He isn't bad, he isn't great, but he's good at what he does. We do need someone like him in the squad whether you like it or not.

I'm not saying we don't have better midfielders but as I say we need someone to just break up play the way he does, in this division at least.

My cup is half full, not half empty...

dont you have to get their half

Yes, but it only takes one effort, one corner to Jones' head... Might not happen, but we're still in the game at 1-1.

Even at 1-1 a point's better than bugger all and we'll lose no ground on Tranmere. How far in front of 3rd are we?

Griffin coming on now, Brown off. Hume up front on his own, so it's a 6-3-1?

Jesus, finally! Full time whistle, how did we survive that!? Fantastic point given the way the 2nd half went, well done lads, and well done Gary Woods too! I've been a critic of his but credit where it's due, no doubt he kept us in it today. Those are the sort of points that can make a season, getting a point without having a shot on target!

Talk about white knuckles. Pleased that we managed to hold on despite them throwing everything at us.

Just noticed - good result 1-1 away from home especially when we have not had a shot on target

And Wensdi lost their relegation 6 pointer too - can't see Mr Jones lasting too long now.
