I thought that too, but we lacking penetration in the final third; the sooner we get Hume back properly the better.

Had people moaning about the build up to the goal. We were patient crafting space and it paid off, yet you always get folk wanting ball lumped in as soon as its in crossing range.
Great goal yesterday and not done justice by the 3 seconds of highlights.

The goal was one of best team goals you would see? How many passes?

Was great goal and the build was very good. But at home we have not done it enough through the season. Our set up under both managers is not to be beat and away from home it works, look at the results. At home we should force the play with good patient football. Lets see they scored and we then started to play good football again, Cotterill put in good crosses. Yet up their goal we seem satisfied to let them come on to us from the start of the second half. I suggest that the manager had given the instructions and compounded that when taking Coppinger off and bringing on Furman. This is not saying it was Furman's fault. If the manager wanted to bring on Furman then Lundstram, Husband or a striker should have been brought off. Copps was linking play from midfield to strike force. Goals win games at home we do not score enough, there are only eight teams in the league who have scored less. If we going to grab the automatic place our patient build up must produce goals especially at home in last four games.

The main problem yesterday was the two up top Brown & Paynter don't work together as they're both similar. Don't think we played bad was a bit unlucky & Portsmouth were better than people give them credit. The pitch doesn't help things eitger

Whilst we were going through the motions to do the right thing, very often the passing was laboured and I don't think our players did enough to take the opposition on.

As with SoD sometimes the passing football is a little laboured and seems to be too slow but occasionally like the goal we find the space and open teams up.
I along with many many others was mystified by the Copps-Furman switch, centre midfield is a vital position and we changed both ours within 10 minutes no wonder it got disjointed.
It was crying out for Hume to take Paynters place and play a bit deeper.
Then Furman, who did look useful to go on for Lundstram.
