Has anybody heard of the VAR? Or to give its full title Video Assistant Referees.

Its certainly on its way into football and I'm told that where its been trialled its been a great success and it will be part of the World Cup next year.

Quick question for anyone who had a better view than me
Did Matty dive ? Looked harsh from West Stand

To me I seemed as though Matty began to dive then changed his mind but had gone too far and couldn't stay on his feet.
To be fair a booking was probably justified.
However last week on Match of the Day I saw Glenn Johnson do exactly the same thing when in an attacking position and the ref gave the free kick.
Stoke almost scored from it.

It seems to me that nowadays the linos are like Sunday league ones, being instructed to only do ins and outs.

Even then they still wait for the ref to indicate which way the throw in should go.
On that subject, how many foul throws do we see.

I was in he east stand and didn't look like a dive at all. Not a foul either, but it would have been some incredible gymnastics if he had managed to stay on his feet.
