DROS drops a bollock..

\"There all set up waiting for the players to arrive\"

You'd think somebody would at least check the articles... Not as if it's an official club website, is it?..

And isn't this the home end for opening day?

\"Also we hope you don't mind but we've padded your seat and moved it near the half way line so you get a better view.\"

\"Following their opening fixture against -, Rovers will face clashes against West Ham United and Nottingham Forest both home ties.\"

The Brighton write up is a disgrace as well - you look at their site and they're overjoyed at the opening fixture, look at ours and it's just another game! The author can't even be arsed to put the teams name in the above sentence. The sack surely awaits.

It truly is a disgrace. Our media team haven't got a clue... If only they really were \"getting sacked in the morning\"!

I have to jump to thier defence again. Our media team all ONE of him has just landed back from the Inca treck in Peru slightly knackered and will not be back at work until Monday. So give him a break, I am sure he will catch up next week.

Aye, it is worth considering that Chris has moved on, leaving just one jet-lagged media person.

That said, it'd be interesting to see what DRFC have got planned media/press wise going forward as there is no way they can live up to fans' expectations as to what a Championship media set-up should be doing on a single member of staff

I wouldn't worry too much, it happens everywhere...

From Sheff United's official site...

Quote
Sheffield United will begin there 2011/12 League One campaign against Oldham Athletic at Boundary Park. With home matches against Brentford and Walsall to follow in August, the team finish the month with a long journey down to Yeovil.

How much are tickets for the Brighton game? I'm not really that bothered about going to Middlesbrough on 7th May 2011.

Sorry but I don't f**king care if Uttley has been on the Inca Trek. Any professional organisation has a contingency plan.  They knew when the fixtures were coming out.  It galls me to see shite like this.

Once again, our lack of professionalism off the field is embarrassing.

Get used to it. Chris Mortley tweeted the other week saying that Rovers had no plans to replace him.

Tbh, I reckon somebody off here could probably do a better job in their spare time. Rovers feed them the information, and they keep the thing up to date for a small fee.

Stop moaning and get a season ticket bought. That is the only thing on JR's mind at the moment.
Forget the fact that his organisation is a total shambles.

Looks like the articles were prepared centrally in advance of the fixtures being published. I think the media get them first to prepare their pieces.

I don't think these articles were prepared locally.

So presumably Brighton's lovely piece was prepared in advance too?  It's still piss poor - no acknowledgement of the relationship between the two clubs.

It really is a shambles.

Oddly enough I said earlier that I reckoned I couldn't do much worse (and I live over 40 miles away) I'd give it a go but .....

If they wanted to work for Rovers it would have to be in there spare time, though.

I'm in agreement here. We all want the team to take the next step on the field, and yet off the field it really is poor. It wouldn't take much effort to look at how other clubs do things and take some of the positives onboard. If we are serious as a club about going forward, then we need to invest behind the scenes as well. RTID.
