We all know about how the bottom trawlers Colchester & Gillingham signed virtually new teams in January 2023.

I knew Sutton had signed a ringer forward on loan in January from Fulham plus others  so I thought it was about time I ended this talk about Sutton being a bad bad team

they signed 6 players in January 2024.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/67857686

Jan 11th    Charlie Lakin [Burton - Sutton] Loan -- started against Rovers

15 January
Nino Adom-Malaki [Millwall - Sutton] Loan -- started against Rovers

Olly Sanderson [Fulham - Sutton] Loan  -- started against Rovers

18 January
Deon Moore [Lewes - Sutton] Undisclosed  -- started on the bench against Rovers

25 January
Stephen Duke-McKenna [QPR - Sutton] Loan  -- started against Rovers

29 January
Jay Williams [Fulham - Sutton] Undisclosed  as in spending money - he didn't feature as he had only just signed
--------------
so a mere 4 new "library loans"   started  against us plus 1 on the bench

SAT 03 FEB 2024LEAGUE TWO
Sutton United 1 Doncaster Rovers 1

so as you can see they had been dosed up with ringers from down South apart from Charlie Lakin whose signing surprised us all !!  perhaps you see why we didn't sign Lakin  as we had signed   Craig who was an unused substitute that day

Results since 1st Feb hardly show a fantastic return, though. W5 D6 L6 - 21 points from 51 (17 games).

They finished on 42 points, so they got 21 points from 29 games to the end of January, then 21 points from 17 games after January. Yes, an improvement, but not stellar.
