Feking lineup that!!!!! Easy win
-
Good Evening everyone! Tough local derby, expect The Dingles to win, but we can upset the odds by raising our game. Come on Rovers!
-
How we doing? I see (BBC) that Wilkes had a reasonable chance in the 6th minute.
-
playing well..

playing well..
Nice! Thanks, IDM!
-
quite creative, made a few chances, fine margins but could be in front..
-
I think we are playing really well. Mowett is better than some of those challenges.
Wilkes and Copps having good games, Blair really impressing
-
Definitely the better side. Significantly so.
-
Our corners have improved.
Barnsley look so poor. How are they top 2
-
Barnsley look so poor.
Please, GE, don’t tempt fate!
-
Decent chance for Barnsley. Made a right mess of it. Barnsley now diving around - well they do have a German coach.
-
Andrew taken out after the ball had gone...
-
Good first half, Doncaster easily the better side apart from the last 5 mins.
I don't think Barnsley are poor, we just outplayed them for most of the half. They do look strong in patches though, so this won't be an easy second half.
Everyone playing well, and with just a bit more nous (or luck) in the box, we would be ahead..
-
Entertaining game so far and everyone playing well. We should be ahead though
-
Back 4 playing really well, Wilks and Copps have looked lively. We’ve had some really good chances - Wilks could have done better with a couple and feel like Marquis should have buried a rebound early on but that might be overly critical. Rowe & Kane haven’t been at their best, hope to see more from them in the second half. This games there for the taking but Barnsley still look a threat going forward to me.
-
Good performance - I do wish Wilkes had a finish on him - always seems to scuff shots.... Got to keep switched on a point won't be a disaster here...
-
No doubt Barnsley are a strong team. We’ve been better though. Lacking a bit of composure around the box. Keep doing what we are doing and it’ll come. Wilkes should looking up more. Had one really weak shot when he could have taken it on further, and another where he could have played on Marquis or Copps, and was blinkered.
Their keeper had made three good saves.
Commentators here on ESPN - saying Barnsley will be happy to have got to half time at 0-0.
-
Entertaining fast paced game. Very happy with our play bar just a touch too much of the high ball forward. Agreed Barnsley looking dangerous on the brake, that's their strength.
Good to see Andrew playing well and some great corners. Fingers crossed!

So Barnsley are playing with the brakes on, BRR? 😀
-
Dirty t**t. Another kick after the ball, on Whiteman.
-
scrappier second half, Barnsley pressing more without troubling Marosi..

We have to watch their handbreak turns, lethal stuff

Possession (BBC) 44/56% to Barnsley. About right?
-
Shout for a penalty as Butler slightly tugs a shirt. Would have been very harsh, especially given that there was an offside missed from the same free kick.
Wilkes needs to be more decisive.
-
Mowatt seems to elbow Wilks in front of the dugout. Nobody noticed.

Whether the shirt tug is slight or not, it’s still a penalty if spotted by the official. Risky move!
-
Mowatt’s a niggly Kitson isn’t he? What’s his problem, get knocked back by too many girls on Silver Street in his youth?
-
More like Copley Road...
-
Wish wilks would pass more
-
Ben Williams - he’s a diver. Ridiculous.

Every team has at least one, PDX_R! 😠

Getting over run in midfield
-
A load of youths walking out the South early....
-
What’s gone wrong in this half?
-
What’s gone wrong in this half?
Nothing. A team who are, on paper, significantly better than us have improved on their first half performance.
-
What’s gone wrong in this half?
nothing, Barnsley upped their game..

Ok. Fair enough.
-
A point won............. it's OK
-
On a positive - no yellows............ Is that our bad boys out of the woods?
-
As long as Peterborough don’t beat Coventry tomorrow, then we are still in the play offs. I’ll take that.
-
Decent point. Just couldn’t find that final pass tonight
-
Very good performance against a very strong side, particularly first half. We defended well in the second half as did they in the first. Goal-less because of the defences rather than misfiring attackers, IMHO.
-

Yes, unless they reach 15 yellows before the end of the season.!
-
0-0. Probably a fair result. We had the first half. Barnsley the second half. Mowatt lucky to remain on the field after three yellow card challenges in my view.
A few after the ball challenges from Barnsley. Butler could have given away a penalty. Davis the Barnsley keeper made some good saves.
Rovers for me looked a bit hesitant at times... not the right decision making and we seemed a bit disjointed truth be told.
Herbie for me was not at it - certainly he’s dipped in form.
Whiteman - plugged away but just lacking that quality tonight.
Marquis was kept quiet.
Wilks - first half hour he was a menace but faded badly. He made too many wrong decisions.
Copps was inventive. Christ he reads the game well.
Crawford was busy. Sadlier did well and was unlucky not to score.
Barnsley - some big lads in there. A bit agricultural at times in the challenge. But they’re strong. Played through us a few times. You can see why they’re up there. Lacking some finesse I feel.
-

True. He was at it all game though. Went down like a Patpong “entertainer”

Herbie for me was not at it - certainly he’s dipped in form. I agree, strange though...
Whiteman - plugged away but just lacking that quality tonight. our best player - was living on a yellow wire, but hopefully free to flourish now
Marquis was kept quiet. (Ran like he was at Cheltenham]
Wilks - first half hour he was a menace but faded badly. He made too many wrong decisions. (Totally agree)
Copps was inventive. Christ he reads the game well. (our only bit of quality - so good that nobody reads him)
Crawford was busy. Sadlier did well and was unlucky not to score. (both OK - and they could develop)
