Seems to be catching on on "Wordle" so see if a dedicated Thread will have legs
Did my first one today in 3 with one duff guess
Did one Archived one yesterday with 1 duff guess but unsure what the last 4 words were connected by
-
Played today's on Easy. I found it opens on Medium by default
Lost no lives on easy
-
I didn't know there were three levels of difficulty Wolfie, where are you seeing that?
I guess I must be on medium setting then.
Anyway I got all four today with one life lost.
-
Glad you’ve all finally seen the Connections light
-
Hi Pr
Im using the Archive at
https://www.connectionsunlimited.org/ (https://www.connectionsunlimited.org/)
It's the easiest I found as I didn't have to get rid of multiple Cookies and it's easiest to "go back" in time
Use the drop down to go back in time and then pick the oldest one and you should see it has choice of Easy Medium Hard
So pick Easy and solve it and you can then go back and choose Medium and then Hard so 3 for price of one lol
I think today's one was Medium , maybe opens by default
Hope this helps
-
Glad you’ve all finally seen the Connections light
I wasn't an instant fan but thought , is doing it better than reading the Politicos on Forum
So here I am
-
Oh and another good thing PR is you can tell that Site only to show you ones you haven't done .
-
I'm in Wolfie.
-
Good .... Look at this , categorised as Easy
https://www.connectionsunlimited.org/?gameId=1&difficulty=Easy
I agree first 2 are laughably easy but I had to reset and put them in again and again till I got 4 that matched
I'm glad they told me why lol
That left last 4 so I selected them and entered them and was glad it told me the connection
My brain is fried lol
-
Glad you’ve all finally seen the Connections light
Is it a dodgy dating site?
If yes,I'm in! :)
-
Same as you Wolfie. No idea after 2 so gave up.
-
Solved with 2 lives left.
-
Cracked it with the loss of one life
-
Cracked it with the loss of one life
Same here Pancho
-
Today . Won . Lost 1 life
-
Same here Wolfie. Good job I worked out 3 of them. No idea of the 4th.
-
Got it with no lives lost today
-
Easy today!
-
Yes Knockers. Done quickly with no errors.
-
Opened earlier and looked challenging. I must have brain fog as they look like 16 totally unconnected words
Then
Jammy guess 1 was right
Jammy guess 2 also right
Then with 8 left I "could see"
Won with all lives intact :s
-
Got it with 2 lives lost
-
Fail for thicko me.
-
Got it with just the one fail
-
Scraped in with 1 guess left!
-
Failed miserably again.
-
Failed dismally. Didn't even get one correct.
-
Me too. It'd be better if it told you how many of the four selected were right.
-
I've actually seen that on my goes but maybe it's if I play the archive
Not done today's yet
-
Failed miserably today
-
Complete opposite of yesterday. Done with no fails.
-
Well done mugnapper!
I got it with one life lost, but I must admit the third row was a lucky guess at the second attempt.
Obviously with 3 done the 4th looks after itself!
-
Got two groups easily, then failed.
-
Same here!
-
I've actually seen that on my goes but maybe it's if I play the archive
Not done today's yet
Me too. It'd be better if it told you how many of the four selected were right.
Late to party today and selected 4 but had pressed one in error and lost a life but for BB it lit up right at the top with a Black Box saying " 1 Away"
So I changed the rogue one and got the rest right
-
Missed yesterday but just done Archive 4 no losses or as Aussies would say with no logic whatsoever
No losses for 4
-
As bad as it gets lol
Lost 4 lives without a single Category solved
In fact so bad was I that when I saw the solution I noticed that on my first guess I had one of my chosen Words in each of the Categories
BB ... it didn't tell me anything at the Top so my theory is it only tells you when you are 1 out
-
Solved it today with no mistakes.
Happy as a dog in muck!
-
Failed today, but the one I got was the purple one. Maybe I'm overthinking it lol
-
I've had three goes at this now and only solved it once. Think I'll give up on it; some of the answers are very USA-centric.
-
Got it with one life lost.
Really had to think about row 3 but eventually had a 'light bulb' moment!
-
Yes agree Mike. Several times I thought what is a "glimgit" or a "roocle (I made them up) only to find they are USA words for light bulbs or Burgers
So very US led but I suppose its the same with Wordle. I try to go for the simple ones first but today as reported I was "crulled" from the start
-
Today solved losing 2 lives
For BB and others it you are 1 off it does light up at the top
I know because I went for the obvious 4 and was 1 away
I swapped a word that was "connected" and it too was 1 away as well
Then I got it so Row 1 was correct and left me to Row 2 being right
8 left seemingly unconnected. I opted for 4 of them and got outrageously lucky (think Bradford City) and they were correct
Left 4 unconnected words which I chose of course , then it tells me why I was right lol
-
Hi DW, I don't get a light at the top. I wonder if I'm on a different page?
-
Solved it again today with one mistake.
Good job the last 4 solved itself!
-
Done with one life left. My last 4, the light blue section, the one with hoop and 3 others, I could have sat there till Xmas and not got it.
Was that the one you struggled with TT??
-
Hi DW, I don't get a light at the top. I wonder if I'm on a different page?
Do you subscribe to the NYT games section Wolfie? Maybe it's an extra you get like the Wordlebot analysis?
-
Done with one life left. My last 4, the light blue section, the one with hoop and 3 others, I could have sat there till Xmas and not got it.
Was that the one you struggled with TT??
Same as you mug. I'd have juggled with that til kingdom come and still not got it. The other 3 were easy once I'd worked out the half word one.
-
Hi DW, I don't get a light at the top. I wonder if I'm on a different page?
Do you subscribe to the NYT games section Wolfie? Maybe it's an extra you get like the Wordlebot analysis?
Hi Mug .... BB said it would be handy if it told you how ,any you had wrong out of 4
I said that it does notify you as I've seen it . However after that I watched and didnt see any notifications until I had another go today
I picked my 4 words and pressed enter and it lit up 1 away. I swapped one I thought was wrong and replaced it with another and got the 1 away
Then I twigged it .... It only tells you if you ARE 1 away which makes sense
-
Scraped home today with 1 guess left
Still was only vaguely rght with what connected the last 4.
-
Failed
First 2 groups easily.
One away with all 4 guesses.
Picked the wrong one.
Really tenuous links imo.
-
Done with no failures and got them in order of difficulty. Pleased with that.
-
Also done with no lives lost but I was lucky on row 3 - I got it right but for the wrong reason!
-
Solved with no mistakes.
Happy to get the purple group first.
-
Almost the opposite
Out with only Yellows solved. I got too fixated on 2 words that I thought were deffo related and blew 3 lives on that only to find I'd fallen into their trap
In desperation I put in words that might be prefixed or even suffixed by another word.
I didn't actually have a word in mind so not surprisingly Uhhhhh Uhhhhh !
-
Done with 1 wrong. Was a bit impulsive with my 1st guess. Should have studied the board before jumping in.
-
Done with 1 wrong. Was a bit impulsive with my 1st guess. Should have studied the board before jumping in.
Loon!
-
Done with no loss of lives today.
I found the first 3 quite easy but didn't see the connection for line 4, but of course that didn't matter!
-
Done with two lives lost
Green
Blue
Yellow
Purple
-
Another 1 .... Just the Light blues but even they cost me 2
Blew other 2 and looking at solutions I thought wow that's back to Americanism in 2 of the Rows but I should have got the Purples and disappointed there
-
Unbelievable .... but true
I just called Archive and selected Hard and solved it all in 1 minute 21 seconds with no lives lost
Does it work "back to front" . It was so easy it had Emu Ostrich Penguin and Kiwi . Even I couldn't miss that
-
I lost 2 lives before getting Purple, then lost the rest without a clue. Put it this way, the connections are so vague that I'd struggle to complete it even having seen the answers!
-
Done with one guess left, but group 3 (the green clues for me) was a guess for the 4th connection, so group 4 (the purple clues for me) was a gimmee.
Not proud of that but a wins a win.
-
Well done Mug.
Failed with two groups solved.
One group really obscure!
-
Clean sweep today. No lives lost and solved illogically
Green
Blue
Yellow easiest ?
Purple but had no idea of why till I saw answer .... But even then ?
-
Same here Wolfie.
Quite easy today I thought.
Got the purple group second.
-
Dismal today.
1 group solved (green) then failure.
Did have a few beers last night, so I'll blame that.
-
Out after 1 Row
Wasted 3 goes to get (Light Blue) row right
After that I spotted a beauty but unfortunately only 3 were right but I think my 4th suited the connection perfectly
Oh well .... Lost
-
Unlucky Wolfie.
Solved it quickly with no mistakes.
-
Lost all my lives trying to get the yellow clues within a minute.
Abject fail.
New strategy needed. (Or at least come up with a strategy).
Starting to dislike this game lol.
-
Me too
Either win without losing life , or get nothing right and lose all 4 lives OR like today ....
Lose life but get Yellows at second attempt
Get Green Row
Then have 8 random words and three lives
I tried 4 ... 2 lives left
I tried swapping 2 of the 4 1 life left
Picked a random 4 to "get it over with" and BING got the Purple Group
Saw the reason and agreed with 1 word , and never heard of the other 3
That left the Blues so I hit them up and was tentatively in agreement . Highly USA centric though
-
Solved two rows without loss, then used up all my lives without further success.
Very spurious 'themes' in my humble opinion!
I'm going off it too.
-
Same here Pancho.
2 solved easily.
Then stumped. Lost all 4 lives with random guesses.
-
Same here. Yellow and green groups done in 30 seconds.
Then 5 minutes looking and failing on the last 2.
-
Do people watch for the 1 away dialogue box popping up at the top
You have to be 2 away of course , but it helps as you can choose 2 to keep ?
-
Wolfie, the 'one away' thing means you've lost a life, not that your guess is one away.
-
Wolfie, the 'one away' thing means you've lost a life, not that your guess is one away.
Think you might be wrong there Mug.
It only comes up if you've got 3 guesses right. Nothing appears otherwise and you still lose a life.
What do you reckon Wolfie?
-
One away means you’re one away from getting it right.
-
Hmm. I'll try check it out tomorrow but I'll probably have forgotten by then.
-
Googled it. You are correct Wolfie, I was incorrect for which I humbly apologise.
It'll make it a bit easier knowing that!
-
Jesus. Failure again. Got the greens immediately, then lost all my lives, despite guessing what 2 of the other groups connection was.
Dimwit.
-
Lost
Took a life to get First 2 Rows
Then next 3 to not get the rest
I was one away 3 times with the light blues
Even when I saw the Purple I only knew of one of them as related to the answer
-
Lost
Took 3 lives to get 2 groups.
Spent half an hour trying to work out the other two and failed.
-
Well I keep saying I'm going to come up with a strategy but someone's done it for me.
https://puzzleaday.wordpress.com/2023/06/28/tips-and-tricks-for-the-nyt-connections-puzzle/
-
Well this has got me stumped today. Can't see any connections.
Tried what looked like an obvious one and didn't have 3 right.
Lost two lives and given up. Will have another look later.
Edit.. Just got the purple group. Now the other 3.
-
It's a ridiculous game. It's not like when you lose and are given the answers, you say "How did I not get that?" It's more like "Eh?"
-
Not a sniff today. No groups correct.
-
Ended up getting 2 groups, purple and yellow. Almost got 3 but picked the wrong ball game.
Would never have got the blue row.
-
Got yellow and green after two fails then totally fluked purple as I had no idea how to link the final eight words.
Wins a win as they say!
-
Pleased to say I fluked another
Lost 2 lives getting first Row Yellow and then got the Greens
8 words left and 2 lives and "ding" inspiration led me to Purple. I spotted a Letter that would make 3 of them make sense then realised no no it makes 4 make sense
They duly lit up so I then hit the last 4 and had absolutely no idea why they were connected and even though I read why I've still no idea lol
As Bruce Forsyth would be saying "Whoa Good game Good game"
-
Failed. Got yellow group.
Too many similar words
-
Getting fed up with this. A 1 minute total failure, just picking words quickly to get it over with.
Made worse by this awful snotty cold that doesn't seem to want to shift anytime soon.
-
One good thing about it is it's not as tense as Wordle because no one will have built up a decent enough run to dread failing and having to start all over again!
-
Here's 4 words . See if you can get the Connection
Panned
Humiliated (again)
Clueless
Really ?
Yes the Connection is it describes my attempt to solve todays puzzle
Yet again totally erratic attempt ending in losing all 4 lives without solving even the (alleged) simplist Row or any other
BB is right at least you generally don't have a streak to play for and defend and in fact my record on WorLdle is still only 8 which ( consults Spreadsheet ) is still 6 higher than Connections
-
Completed this easily in about 2 minutes before bed.
One life lost.
Goodnight! (http://)
-
Same for me.
-
They must have seen my comment from yesterday and given us an easy one today.
Also perfect and done within a minute.
Too easy really.
-
Sunday early rise doesn't pay off
Got Green , then Yellow losing 2 lives then next 2 lives lost with no more progress
Lost on 2
Looking at the 3rd Row I should have got it , and then even if you don't know connection you are left with 4 words and you are home and dry
-
I solved it Wolfie. Got the yellow and green with one life lost. After a bit of thought got the one with Garbage in it.
So bingo.
Would never have got the last row.
-
Even I got it today. Blue, Yellow, Green, Purple.
I doubt anyone would have got the Purple line because it doesn't make sense on this side of the Atlantic.
-
Got the green and yellow. No clue thereafter.
-
Blue, green, yellow and then purple for me.
One silly life lost!
-
I solved it Wolfie. Got the yellow and green with one life lost. After a bit of thought got the one with Garbage in it.
So bingo.
Would never have got the last row.
Yes the clues were there but I missed them looking too deeply at a different (non) connections
-
Got it today
First 2 came easy and 4 lives left
Saw 3 distinct connections for Row 3 and put them in with a random guess for 1 away so I knew I had 3 more guesses left to add the right answer
I got to 2 words left and 1 guess and picked right
Solved for a streak of One
WorLdle even better with a Streak of 2 . All time record 8 lol
-
Got it too, 3 days on the trot and understood all 4 for a change.
Lost one life.
-
Got the purple group then failed.
-
Managed to complete it this morning with no lives lost, although I wouldn't have got the connection for the final row.
-
Cooked after Row 1
Blew everything on R2 where I had 3x1 away but didn't get it
Brewing beer in shame
-
Got two groups so far and have 2 lives left.
Will go back to it in a bit.
-
7.32 brewing done 5 weeks to go  (St Peter's Ruby kit 10/10 ... as scored by neighbours on our Friday Garage meeting)
5 weeks and a day to :silly: :silly: :silly: :silly:
-
Sounds good Wolfie!
Solved it for 4 days on the trot.
A light bulb moment for the purple group.
-
Got yellow and green, no real idea thereafter so failed.
-
I fluked the blue row then failed miserably with the rest and lost all my lives
-
Sounds good Wolfie!
Solved it for 4 days on the trot.
A light bulb moment for the purple group.
Is that a record I wonder ?
Looks like my hunch to open a Thread dedicated to Connections was a good un ( like my beer according to others )
Now up to 65p a Pint but that's not bad I suppose as for them it's free
-
Failed today for the first time in 5 days.
Bizarrely I didn’t get the easy yellow but I did have it surrounded!
-
Failed again. Ditto failed on Yellows despite having 4 lives left and only 8 words.
I had it surrounded as well
Kicked myself more at the other Purple row. Get that and the Yellows would be left there anyway
-
Got the Green and blue, failed thereafter. Again lol.
-
Got the green and blue, then failed thereafter.
Was all round the yellow but couldn't get the bloody thing.
Looks like we were all fooled by the yellow.
-
My streak is nil
WorLdle I'm up to 4 , record ever 8
33 in Wordle
-
Got the green and blue, then failed thereafter.
Was all round the yellow but couldn't get the bloody thing.
Looks like we were all fooled by the yellow.
Ditto tommytoes
Stupid bloody game!
-
Cricket
2 without loss then batting collapse to 2 all out
Annoyingly most people will romp it today after I saw the hieroglyphics I couldn't read turned into the simplest language
WorLdle crept to a 5
-
Easy one today. Solved it in no time.
-
Green and yellow got, then failed yet again.
-
I found this one easier than usual, got it with one life lost.
Having said that, I wouldn't have got the final (purple) row if it hadn't solved itself!
-
Yes as reported I got Yellow and Green straight off then lost 4 lives fixated on the Purples
I thought that there must be a suffix and thought Mar lin saw Mer lin then spotted Ear and thought Lin ear and looked at the other words adding Lin to front or back. I settled on Pop Lin sure that that was a material they made shirts from so that was a banker too
But I tried 4 times and failed each time and remembering it's US game failed using Sat Lin and Lin Sat
F****** hell was I kicking myself when I saw the answer
-
Funny how our brains work. I got the purple group first. MER got it for me, no such English word (or one I've heard of)
-
That's a great point TT . Will watch for similar in future
I will "plan it" more carefully next time
-
Downed after getting Green Row without loss
Kicking myself yet again after getting one away 4 times in Yellow and Light Blue categories
But ffs not getting the Yellow was criminal
-
Yellow and green got followed by a failure. Again.
-
Same here Mug.
Who's heard of Breaking?
And the other 4, no chance of getting that.
-
At least you got the Yellows. I even got that wrong and imagine having F H and K right and adding Trampoline
Wtf was that ?
-
Yesterday now.
Can't believed I had Frog Hare Kangaroo and didn't spot Cricket so I didn't even get Yellows even trying Trampoline
Today an exact opposite of that
Won ... Lost no lives
An upside down logic defying win as I got Purple ( nominally hardest ) first AND Yellows ( nominally easiest ) last
Bamboozled of Thorne
-
Victory for a change but i got Green Blue Purple and fortunately the Yellow was a gimmee.
I will be googling the last word of the yellow group to see what it means. Probably a word the kids use lol.
EDIT It is slang and used by kids (and cool adults I guess) with a meaning that allows it into the Yellow group.
-
Same as you today Wolfie.
Got the purple group first then the rest came easily. No lives lost.
Still would like to know how Breaking is an Olympic sport.
-
Solved it today with no mistakes.
Yellow
Blue
Green
Purple(which I'd never have got in a million years)
-
Ditto ... almost anyway.
Got the Yellows "easily"
I lost a life getting the Greens
Then could see the blues ok
That left the Purples and I did try to find a connection before selecting them
Wouldn't have got that any time soon (if ever)
-
Got it thus:
Blue
Green
Yellow
Purple by default. Wouldnt have got it if I'd sat all day.
-
Green
Yellow
Blue
Purple
Purple is a piss-take.
-
Got the yellow then failed.
Got 3 of the green group a couple of times but ultimately failed.
2 of the purple group I've never heard of.
-
Got Blues first
Mixed the Greens and Yellows up 3 times ( similar but not same)
Had a go at Purples as I spotted a connection for 3 and opted for one I hadn't heard of over one I hadn't heard of
The latter would have been right but "cooked"
-
Solved it with a complete fluke.
Got the green and yellows after
a lot of jiggery pokery, losing 3 lives in the process.
After more muddled thought I decided the blue could be something to do with horses so eventually pressed submit and, blow me sideways it was right, er for the wrong reason.
As for the purple 2 were obvious, 2 were impossible.
Anyway as Wolfie says, a wins a win!
-
Do 2 or more different people set these I wonder
Today after yesterday's debacle ....
A 2 minute no lives lost win , and I got Purple third AND for a change I knew the connection for the last 4 words as well
If there are 2 people setting them I hope other one is on his holidays for a while
-
Same here Wolfie. Solved it in no time
Purple
Green
Blue
Yellow.
-
Another perfect here.
G,Y,B then P.
-
Dismal failure, lots of 1 away attempts, but I rushed it today.
I think all 4 groups are eminently guessable with a bit of concentration.
-
Blew first attempt (1 away) so tried a different 4
As Mug said ... they are connected and I got home without losing another life
That left me with 3 words I had right in guess 1 and one I would never have put with them and of course that completed the 4
Streak 2
-
Kicking missen for today's fail.
Got yellow and green with no mistakes.
All round the other two and should really have got it, but didn't.
-
Won without loss
Yellow
Green
Then 8 left which seemed unrelated but as I got a Tea "ding" got the Blues
I did as usual try to decide what connected the Purples but failed ( and maybe I should have got it )
I predict a clean sweep on here today
Streak 3 ( I have to keep count as App doesn't )
-
Won without loss but fluked it.
G,Y,B and P by default.
I think Wolfie is very brave to suggest a clean sweep as I had only gut feeling to get the blue and no idea what linked the purples.
-
Same here got yellow and green in 10 seconds.
Then lost 3 lives with the swimming animal but fluked it on last guess.
-
I was "boosted" by going back to your comment the other day , when I crashed and burnt and you said " I looked at MER and thought , that's not a word"
So I was drawn to the shortest of the Animal words , and as I made a Tea I thought of it and bang . I've seen one in fact
Then I thought ah , and listed in my head the other 3. Still then struggled with Purple though
"Fluked no pun intended"
-
Won without loss but fluked it.
G,Y,B and P by default.
I think Wolfie is very brave to suggest a clean sweep as I had only gut feeling to get the blue and no idea what linked the purples.
Hi Mug
Only bigged it up as we seem to be down to a diehard 3
And tbf at one point I thought , no , not for me but carried on :crying:
-
Well you were right anyway Wolfie so what do I know lol.
-
Whoever thought up that purple group today wants bloody slotting.
-
Yesterday Casino and Spatulas plus other 2 all have Slots
-
Yesterday Casino and Spatulas plus other 2 all have Slots
That was today lol.
Anyone heard of a Right whale??
-
No lives lost victory, albeit in a funny order.
PYBG
-
Yesterday Casino and Spatulas plus other 2 all have Slots
That was today lol.
Anyone heard of a Right whale??
Yes , I was sure I'd seen them off Boston USA or Long Island so looked them up
It was then I found the origin.of their name. Whalers called them the Right ones to hunt. Usually in relatively shallow waters and floated when dead :(
Why not call them Sitting Duck Whales
-
In 4 no lives lost
Y
B
G
P ( couldn't see Connection but it didn't matter )
Streak 4
-
Am I looking at the same puzzle?
All words ending in Y
I haven't a clue on any of them.
-
Stone me!
Went back and solved it. Lost 2 lives
Y
B
P
G
-
Bizarrely I got it hardest to easiest whilst losing two lives!
-
Got it with 1 life lost.
PYBG
EDIT: I have a new tactic in that as soon as the game opens, I shuffle all the words as I think the initial placement is done to lead you up the wrong path.
Shuffling them today made the Purple group leap out at me.
-
Good tip Mug thanks
Today that might have helped because despite knowing the Connection for 3 Colours including Purple I was "All out for 0"
I went through the Purples again and again and could have looked up the answer but resisted
Streak 0
You stupid boy
-
Dead easy today. Got it in no time.
P
Y
G
B
-
I just couldn't get the P as I've not seen SOM ( trying not to give anything away )
-
I don't think anyone's watching Wolfie.
Yes if you don't know the song then I can see why you struggled.
-
SOM was One of the 5 LP's my parents owned, so was played ad nauseum in our house, so I know it word for word lol.
If there's a James Last or Mantovani link tomorrow, I'll be a shoo in!
-
Blimey Mug, your parents were cultured.
I had to endure endless Frank Ifield.
Yodellleh hee hee!
-
Blimey Mug, your parents were cultured.
I had to endure endless Frank Ifield.
Yodellleh hee hee!
That was my reaction to Hak's goal yesterday lol
-
Unlike the Wordle got this in record time.
P
Y
G
B
-
Same as Wordle ... Except I lost lol
Got Green Then Blue then Blew (it)
Streak 0 , nowt , zero , Zilch
I did get WorLde though for a Streak of 1
-
Got YG then failure.
-
It’s a picture round today.
-
Damn.
2 right but lost.
Kicking myself really cos I was on right road with Purples but got too literal with one of them
Streak ? A stubborn (best 4)
Penalty in Worldle for a streak of 2 ( best 8)
-
YG then failure.
-
Is it a lettuce a cabbage or just a leaf?
And what's that squiggly red thing?
-
Bacon!
Solved it with one life lost.
Y
B
P
G
Pleased with that!
-
Now we've all reported, I demand a Steward's enquiry on the purple group.
A) How can a picture denote the sex of a sheep? It could have worn a tiara to help me along.
B) That's a very, very thin bee.
C) Surely a golf tee would have been more accurate than a teapot?
-
I had the i t and b then thought for a while and bingo sheep= ewe.
I thought the rhyming words were too obvious so that was last.
-
Yes , I had ewe (as in you ) eye (as in I) but failed as thought teapot not Tea Also had Saw as in saw lol
I thought it was a Wasp too and included it wrongly in "thing that scare people lol" where I was one away but of course it was about films of which I know nowt
Was it supposed to be Texas Chain Saw cos that would be a Stewards Enquiry or objection from me
-
No there's a horror film franchise called Saw. Saw 2 Saw 3 etc.
To be honest I got a bit lucky there, had saw, alien, vampire and guessed the other scary face was from the Scream films. Luckily was right.
And I thought the yellow group, which I got first were just food. Didn't see the money connection.
Money cheese?
-
Thinking about it they were film titles
Saw
Dracula

Yes , I had ewe (as in you ) eye (as in I) but failed as thought teapot not Tea Also had Saw as in saw lol
I thought it was a Wasp too and included it wrongly in "thing that scare people lol" where I was one away but of course it was about films of which I know nowt
Was it supposed to be Texas Chain Saw cos that would be a Stewards Enquiry or objection from me
It's a series of Horror films called 'Saw'.
Not my thing but Mrs Mug likes it so I've seen them by osmosis ie She watches horror whilst I watch Bambi on my tablet.
-
Is that the horror version of Bambi where it gets torn to bits by a pack of hyenas?
-
Well well well
The hard setters gone away again lol and my equivalent has taken over
Easiest I've ever done / seen / won
Did the now traditional Shuffle and then I lost no lives getting G Y B & P
Technically I didn't get the Purple. Even when they remained I tried for 10 seconds to see the connection but moved on . Answer "underwhelming"

Then went Y G B & P and got the win
Streak 4 .... Shuffles 4
And a jammy 3 in WorLdle Streak 1

I lost both lives going down the goldilocks rabbit hole. But after getting the green group I saw the connection.
Quite a clever group of words I thought.

If there's one thing I'd change is that you'd have to supply the link for the last group you get, as it's just a gimmee as it stands.

Very good point mugnapper, agreed.
Got it with one life left.
-
I'd not have got the Connection for the last 4 again today
Open with Shuffle .... Decided I'd lose my streak
Got the Yellows lost 0 lives
Got the Greens lost 0 lives
Got the Purples lost 0 lives
Scratted head for a while deciding I've no idea but I've won losing no lives
Saw answer and realised Rovers would lose another Game before I would have got that
Streak 6

Yellow and green in double quick time, then failure.

Same here Mug.
Not a clue on the other two.

Solved with one life lost

WTF is a crackerjack? (other than a 60's kids show with Peter Glaise)
If the clues had been Crowther, Glaze, Pencil and 5to5, I think we'd all have got it.
In the US Crackerjacks are a type of snack.

11 is better than previous best of 4 , but I expected you could get the answer automatically
Talking of difficult . WorLdle again is ridiculously hard and I can see my score on there and my record streak of 8 is there for me to see
Flopped today on 4 because as soon as it is an African Country I usually blow up and today I was on 4 but Equitorial Guinea popped up and it's straight back to ZERO again
-
Solved quickly. No mistakes and knew all four.
Got the purple first which makes a change.
P G Y B

Yes, bit of a doddle today.

Failed today, first time for a while. Got the Y and G no idea on the others.

I’d never have got the blue Wolfie, ignorant of those matters.

Also failed today. Got G and Y quickly, then went round the houses. Would not have got the connection in the P group if I'd looked all day.

Got it with 2 lives lost, but wouldn't have got the final (purple) connection:

Same here. Knew what a couple of the connections were but chose wrong options, therefor a catastrophic failure.

Well a 100% fail today after yesterday's 100% win

However I still didn't see it even after putting Wolf behind it and trying Wolf behind all the other words Duh

Yes Wolfie.
I started off thinking Vamp would be prefixed by Re, along with act produce direct. There were 5?in all which could have had that prefix so ditched that, decided it was vampire and frank solved it for me.
