With the players we have right now, any system that gives Sharp plenty of the ball and plenty of opportunities. He's by far our best player and our biggest asset.

4-4-1-1 for me, play somebody in behind him who can link up with the midfield - my choice is either Bennett or Hayter. If Coppinger had played well in 2011 I'd have said him but alas.

To be honest though, with our personnel any formation bar perhaps Croft's suggestion ( ) won't prevent us conceding goals and failing to break down midfield opposition. The team just isn't good enough right now.

4-1-4-1 but we need 2 midfield players that can tackle ,as we have seen neither stock/gillet and oster can tackle ,so 2 off them have to go.dirra has got muscle theres one maybe woods when fit the other.also need a goalkeeper Deano go and ask daglish if we can borrow brad jones and spearing, then mayb we will have a chance to stay up.this is the team i would like to see.
..............jones..........
chimbonda...hird....friend....illunga
...............dirra...............

A quick google search tells me that this man is Dirra:

I'm not sure what he brings to the table as a holding midfielder tbh. If he can hit the ball like Gillett did yesterday though I'm all for it.

I would favour a 10-0-0 formation. All players to be at least 7 feet tall and 3 feet wide to give us the best possible chance of keeping a clean sheet!

You'd have to be careful though because they could still slip through the gaps in their legs

with what we have
at the moment its got to be imo
        5-3-2
          sully
chimbonda hird naylor friend illunga
     gillet martis oster
         bennett sharp
oster makes it just in front of stock only because billy always seems to play better when oster is there.

Have you been reading the book, 'Comedy: by Lenny Henry', by any chance?

No I'm currently reading Darke by Angie Sage.  It's just my Londoner's sense of humour
