He has the personality and the playing experience to be a success, he obviously has the coaching badges, he just needs a bit of luck and a chairman and board that believe in him and the luck to get a good set of players at the level they play at. I think he would be a good fit, will know something of the area, and the non league scene in the north of England which they feed off. I don't see many established managers fancying what is an outpost as far as travel is concerned, and he deserves a chance to prove what he can do.
