Really like that. Reminds of the kits around the very early 80's before we went back to the hoops in 83/84.

Id defo vote for that if we ever chose to move away again.

I'm guessing that because this is also Copps' 500th appearance kit his is going to go for an absolute bomb. Could there be a fairer way of doing it and still raise the same amount of money? Raffle perhaps. I really would like a chance of winning it and I'm sure many others do too but won't be able to bid the amounts it eventually goes for.

I would think no less than £70 as a normal shirt is about £45.

Is the auction going online or is it just at the game?

I'm lead to believe the auction will be an online auction and it'll start Monday and run for a week. I also understand Copps would like to buy his own shirt for the landmark game so he's the man to match if you want to outbid him!

It's a real nice shirt. If it went in general sales with a kick back for the heart foundation, I think it would sell well!

I like the kit - also like the black kit. Has anyone bought the black kit - what's it like...?

There's a chance it won't end up with a true supporter, just with the woman or man with the biggest wallet/purse. Whoever get's it i hope they are somebody who appreciates the importance of the shirt.
Like many i wouldn't stand a chance my pockets are 'sewn up' compared to most.

I would love to buy a shirt, I do hope they are bought by real fans and not by someone hoping to make a quick buck on Ebay.

Even my missis likes this kit, shes ambivalent at best towards football, but especially given the charity thinks it should be on general sale

At least they ultimately end up with real fans I suppose as if the profiteers get one or more they have to find real fans to sell them to ?

Would not mind one meesen as they look great !

For me it's common sense to auction these off st whatever they go for, then probably just before Christmas produce says 250 more non played in replicas to sell at say £50 a pop so the bidders are still getting more for there money but those with a bit less cash can still own one, and bhf will get even more of a donation

They really do need to make this kit, I've had several people text me saying they've seen it through DRFC Facebook full time post, and wondered if it's for sale... And these are people that don't go to watch Rovers regularly at all!!

DRFC AND the Heart Foundation could make a pretty penny if they were to sell them (or make it our away kit).

I'd buy one, and the last shirt I bought was the Belle Vue final season shirt!

With respect to the process of involving fans in design, I think we should be left to choose from kit designs prepared by professional designers in future ( as this third kit has been ).

Rugby league teams do charity kits all the time, putting replicas up for general sale as well.

Well done to DRFC for the idea...now get them on sale and raise more money for BHF

I would happily buy a replica of this kit to wear to games with the proceeds going to the BHF, it's a lovely kit and now holds up as a monument to a terrific day in the club's recent history.

We were delighted to see the response to the unique third kit worn by Rovers during the win at Morecambe on Saturday, and welcome the interest from fans in partaking in the charity auction to win the matchworn shirts.

We want to raise as much money as possible for our charity partners the British Heart Foundation, but also want to provide a fair opportunity for fans to get their hands on a unique part of our history.

As such, we  will give some thoughts to a fair and open bidding process and will confirm details when we go live with the auction on Wednesday September 14.
