Agreed. Probably my favourite match at the Keepmoat. Terrific goals.
-
Excellent footage.
The second goal - beats4 men and then a left footed screamer !
reminds me of Ryan Giggs
-
I remember talking to my mate Exiled in Wiltshire and he said this to me "Personally I didn't think Coppinger had a good game"
It still makes me chuckle

9 Years,Fook me im getting old quick
-
Wow - 9 years, where does time go?
Agreed-brilliant hatrick and a memory that will live on forever, be a very sad day when Coppinger hangs up his boots.
-
Third goal was the icing on the cake.

Third goal was the icing on the cake.
It always is with a hat trick 😉

It's still as good as an orgasm. That hat trick, that man, are one of the very few things that I will remember, vividly, to my dying day.

Best hat trick ever I reckon, purely for the quality of all three goals. Lip reading SoD is priceless.
If it was a premier league match it would be on constantly
-
A night never to be bettered or forgotten.
When he struck the shot for his second I was right in line and it was in from the moment he struck it.
A great man and footballer.
-
SOD expression and wording priceless!

In my 37 years of watching the Rovers, that was the most perfect performance by one player that I've ever seen. I've been fortunate to see some fantastic Rovers players in my time, Alan Warboys, the Snodins, Alan Brown, Mike Jeffrey, Steve Nichol, Michael McCindoe, Billy Sharp and all - but I've not seen anybody before or since deliver such a perfect performance to compare with Copps that night. He was absolutely brilliant.
I unfortunately never saw King Alick play, but if he ever delivered a complete performance in one match like Coppinger did in that game then he really, really must have been something special.
Great commentary too by the way!

I've just watched it AGAIN. And it's brought an enormous smile to my fizzhog AGAIN. Awesome!

Personally I prefer Micky Norbury's hat-trick against Scunny in 1995 when we beat them 0-5 at Glanford Park.

Just watched it again. Still gives me goosebumps. Three goals of the highest quality.
