Who could do the job for the last 8 games?

I can't think of anyone.

Butler won't walk and he won't get sacked. They'll just come to a mutual, respectful decision come the summer and then the board will do their lengthy interview process, then we'll be behind on recruitment/signings.

At least we've got a team to support. That's what I keep telling myself, anyway.

He won't be gone before the end of the season.

I think the board will be looking at this season as a write off and will start their usual process soon and have someone in place for the start of the summer. It's obvious to anyone Butler is way out of his depth and won't be getting the job permanently, and would make no sense for the board to be wasting time to now

How does anyone on this forum know that the process hasn't already started? AB is keeping the seat warm till the summer, my thought is that a new man will be in place not long after the season has finished

If that's the case, get them in now. There is still a chance of the playoffs.

As has been said on another thread, leave Andy in charge now, but start the application process ASAP. We may well be respected as a club, but on the pitch we look like mugs, absolute embarrassment.

We are not going to make the play offs with this group of players. They are mentally finished.

Let's start planning for next season. That is the sensible thing to do. We can use this to our advantage and get moving early.

Why would anyone want us to reach the play offs this season? Imagine if we happened to get promoted. We’d get totally and utterly mullered every week with this lot!!

Well I thought i had rose tinted specs but even i think the play offs are as about as unrealistic as us winning the Premier league within in the next 5 years.

We would have to win 6 and draw 1 of our last 8 games to have a chance. Even that may not be enough.
If any manager can get this lot to achieve that with the way we are performing at present then that would be some unbelievable achievement.

NO ONE as it would take a lot longer than that to appoint someone with our interview system

The board need to send their support of Butler and the players who’s appearance is that they are just not wanting to compete for the club .
