One that might have slipped under the radar today with all the new manager excitement

I’ve like what I have seen of him over the last few games, it will be interesting to see how he kicks on under a new manager who may or may not play him as much.

Wonder why only 1 year? You would have thought he would have done enough to earn 2 at least?

Who can tell the future at the moment Wilts, another spike and lock down that effects next season and crowds back in the stadiums and the game itself at professional level is under a distinct threat of disappearing except for the few clubs that can command television audiences  however unpalatable that may seem at the moment in my opinion.

And yet Taylor gets a 3 year contract with virtually no saleable value?

Perhaps to make sure his development continues. If we give him a 2 year deal, he sees it as job done and doesn't improve anymore then we're stuck with him the following season. A one year deal is a kick up the arse, keep developing otherwise you're gone.

Yes but you can insert a break clause into it for that type of situation - as per a relegation clause.

Just seems strange for a young player. If they have faith in him, give him 2 years thus potential to develop. If they don't, sorry release him for a new start elsewhere. Hope he does kick-on, I have liked what I have seen of him so far.

It is great news he is turning out to be a good little player and has impressed me when he has played,  all we need now is for Amos to put pen to paper

Personally think Horton has got more potential than Amos. Unless Horton is going to be 1st choice (I don’t see why not tbh) no point signing Amos.

Hard to make these decisions without a manager

We need another senior LB if James leaves. Therefore can’t see Danny getting a contract we don’t need two. We are talking of putting together a side capable of competing at League 1 level.
