That wage might be why it's a loan.

It seems people are referring to different snippets of Moore's interview here and drawing different conclusions.

In the full 25 minute interview on rovers player Moore said the player "wants to come" to rovers and it seems personal terms won't be an issue. It is the negotiation between the clubs that is the issue. He also said it might be a permanent if they can agree terms, but that we might have to settle for a loan. Which the Free Press guys have said could be a loan to buy, but Moore didn't say that directly.

Maybe he has a year left on his contract on good money so not willing to move till his contract is up & sign then, get a good signing on fee in 12 month time.

If anyone has not listened to it yet, the Liam Hoden and Peter Catt podcast explains the striker situation. It looks like it may have to be loan to permanent, rather than permanent immediately. God knows why but they are suggesting the loan is a step to permanent not an end in itself.

We run the risk of him doing well and never being seen here again in that case!

Redj:

I honestly don't get how you've already made your mind up on Sterling after 30-50 minutes' game time.

I’m only making my mind up about one thing and that is (imho) Sterling is not the missing link. DM doesn’t think so, either, as he has held the No9 shirt back for a reason! Are you questioning the manager by any chance?

Sterling will have a great impact on our season, as will Ennis, but as far as what we still need up top is that clever, experienced, hold-up man that will both contribute with his own goals and help the likes of Ennis and/or Sterling improve their tallies.

That’s all.

Could make sense because think Winnall contract expires next summer as well.

I get that Moore isn't comfortable in interviews, but if Danny Bergara had been interviewed after today's match and said we showed resolve after going a goal down...

I'm really, REALLY liking the football we've seen so far this season, but a comment like that is just a little bit worrying.

I've just listened to this back and he didn't mean that, he has just worded it badly. The very next thing he says after that is referring to "their travelling support", he's on about Lincoln coming from a goal down he just said it in a very clumsy way.

The man is far from stupid, he knows we weren't behind in that game.
