23' Great one touch football from Rovers as Mandeville looks to put McKay through but the ball just runs away from him #DRFC #MadeInDonca...

What a finish ... Peterborough corner with 60 seconds to go .. their goalie in our area for the corner .. Mclaren collects and throws out to Jake McKay who does a Griffin Park to make it 4-2!

How is this kid Mandeville?  Seems to be scoring a lot of goals.

How is this kid Mandeville?  Seems to be scoring a lot of goals.

He plays in the whole behind McKay but their link up play is good and they work together. Both put in a lot of work which ended up with Mandeville getting cramp.

McKay was abit quiete I thought tonight won a few good flick ons including one to set up mandevilles 1st goal, mandeville looked better of the two tonight with a good 2nd goal from a free kick glancing a header home and also a decent cross for rovers 2nd goal.

Based on tonight Jack doesn't look ready for the 1st team just yet , but took his only chance in the 94th min really well.
Mandeville stole the show for me ,his movement ,finishing and work rate was excellent.
Best player on the pitch for me.

Are people seriously suggesting some of these under 18s are anywhere near good enough for first team football??? Ridiculous.

The general rule of thumb is that if they are good enough, they are old enough.  There are loads of examples of 17 year olds being in first team squads..

However it is correct IMHO to be cautious.  I think PD is right to have a couple of the youth players on the bench (out of 7).  If we're winning well, they can get gametime later on as at Burton, or if nothing else is working give them a try as vs Sheff Utd with McKay.  A good run in the JPT helps as you'll get the occasional start maybe as with Lund?

None of our U18 are good enough is what I'm saying, they are a moderate side.
