Saunders said we would definitely get promoted this season and we are in a strong financial position apparently! I beg to differ.

Yeah but did he really say we would definitely get promoted?

Would you care to quote where he, or indeed any other manager in any league said that a team they managed would 'definitely get promoted'?

The negativity on here towards a manager who as yet has done little wrong is starting to get bloody tiresome.

Saunders said it last night when a few of the people I go to games with were chatting to him and getting photos after the AGM.

If he's done very little wrong, why did we get relegated last season?

I have been to all but one agm and listen to every press conf and i am yet to here Deano say those words. He has said he will try his hardest to get us promoted. Big difference. Dean's been in football long enough to know there is no divine right to go and win any league.

And you didn't wonder if the comment, if it was indeed said, might have been tongue in cheek?

And as for getting relegated, we could have had Brian Clough in charge for all I care, we still would have gone down. I thought we were meant to be moving forward as a club. Picking out who's to blame for something that's already happened and we can't change, it's bordering on psychotic now. Move on!
