We play like a bunch of Brexiters at the ends of games. A whatever mentality and then we are screwed for the future

It's obvious a team that's won their last 6 games is going to have long periods on top against a midtable side at home when they're 1-0 down.

We managed to cope with it for 94 minutes,

Don't be silly!
They were on top for long periods in second half, made sense to put houghton on

Thanks Scunny - we're up to 12th.

Well done you fookin tool.........
Are you really suggesting that words on a forum somehow have bearing on the results of a match in the real world.  Thats insane!!

Not causal of course.

But have you ever heard of the expression 'tempting fate'? We have a recent history of doing that on here and so often we have conceded soon after.
But the players have no knowlwdge of what fate has been tempted..  its all bobbins..   hang on, if i say "i havnt won the lottery in ages " etc..   does it work in reverse...

Dutch is completely right - and if you understood football in an sense, you would know it....  It may be 'bobbins' as you so quaintly put it - but there is no need to do it.. and it makes no sense either - were not 10th, 12th, 14th etc until the game is over - as has been displayed several times this season....

obviously didn't make sense did it.  We all know we can't protect a lead by going negative.

Watch any game involving a midtable side away at a side that's won their last 6 games and currently the best side in the league.
Away from home and under pressure and winning 1-0, they will all try and close up shop a bit by swapping an attaching player for a more defensive one!
