If Chris Brown is fit and available, sign him up. Stick him up front until his legs can no longer cope with that position, and then turn him into a central defender, like we successfully did with Colin Douglas ans Alan Warboys previously.

I had also had that thought myself BB - CB is a proper footballer and IMHO could easily convert like the other two club legends. Come on Browny, you know you want to for your home town ;)

Or let's just sign a good up and coming centre half...

What's the obsession with ex players let's move on and find someone who can play centre half.
Why risk something like this

Because discoveries are cheaper than established players.

I wouldn't be against brown, but i think the manager will want quicker and younger forwards, to play his pressing game, personally i would sign brown as well as the younger guys.
He has experience, can mix it, holds onto the ball, quick feet for a big guy, intelligent use of the ball, decent in the air, but doesn't score enough goals. So you need others around him who can, i would fancy him to get between ten and fifteen goals in league two.

With a small squad can we afford to have someone on the treatment table for six months. Been, gone - Move on.
