Fireworks
« on November 05, 2021, 08:26:37 pm by ColinDouglasHandshake »
Anyone else already mightily pissed off this evening?

Not sure about cats and dogs but i despise fireworks.

Never mind. Maybe towards wednesday / thursday idiots will have stopped incinerating money and i can get some peace.

Should fireworks be banned.
Surely they aren’t good for the environment.

It is basically uncontrolled noise pollution. I feel like i'm living in f**king Basra at the minute.

They should be banned from sale to the public and only permitted to be purchased from specialist outlets with a licence from people who are organizing events.

That would be a start.

Another idea would be to only make non banging fireworks. Once upon a time fireworks were all about how pretty they looked but these days it is all about how loud they can bang and how often. To please the rudimentary minds of those participating in them.

You should be in Bradford with all the Asian weddings letting them off.
The other week they started at 3:30am and that was mid-week.No thought for other people whatsoever.

Thought I was the only one. All night. Probably more later on. Ban the things. Idiots ruin it.

Bonfire night has become bonfire week and is now an excuse for Feral kids to go on the rampage for a week

I'm 27 and I've always thought they were shite.

Admittedly I am rather miserable.

Fireworks and bonfire night was always about kids when I was young.
How many kids are up at 1am and later? This goes on in Bradford on a regular basis all year round as well.
Not Greta if you are getting up early for work, have young children or pets either.

That was the quietest Bonfire Night/weekend ever. I heard a couple of lots of fireworks going off in the distance on Saturday night, other than that nothing.

I know where you’re coming from idler.

I live in Nelson 4 miles from Burnley & I’ve never seen or heard so many fireworks since coming to live here.

You think to yourself, ‘What bloody festival are we celebrating today/tonight’! I’d ‘fire’ back but have been banned from such thoughts by Mrs C!

It has been quiet since the week-end but I know that probably this is only temporary. It's amazing that nobody ever gets charged.

The police caught someone with fireworks round here. They let them off.

Mind, they also caught someone stealing batteries. They charged them.

It's OK, Wolfie. I'm sure Miss Thunberg would agree with us all about fireworks being bad.
