One thing that this has shown by the board is that when they parted company with Dickov, there was no one lined up to replace him. So were they expecting to sack him when they did and if they were, why wasn't there a replacement waiting in the wings?

Why on earth put all your eggs in one basket by having a replacement lined up and restrict your options to people already out of work? I get the impression that this would have been procedure whenever Dickov would have left.
