And then it happened, he waited for this game to sink his team mates

I honestly doubt he has the ability to time his goals. More likely he has been trying to score for the last seven months and by some freakish law of averages tonight was the night it came good.

If we haven't already started planning for league two we should be now. Stop playing the god awful players we aren't keeping, cancel loans that are not staying and have a look at some of the youth players. Start targeting players for next year now.

This.

And it was such a promising pre season too. Truly bizarre stuff.

Is Dany ready for a return yet?

Get him off the books so he can rest his toe at another club.

It's so bad I'm not bothered. It can't get any worse. Huge summer to come.

We will have the biggest budget in league two ffs
We just need a manager who is able to recruit players with a winners mentality as the Saunders side of 2012/13 season.

At Oldham Main is getting game time, loads of it.  That is what he wasn't getting with us plays well, gets a place, plays shite and is dropped again.

Plays regularly at Oldham and he's apparently doing very well.

Main's goal tonight is not why we will probably go down,  It has been our shocking form in 2016, not that goal tonight.

An immediate bounce back is the minimum requirement next season, the planning for the L2 title starts here and now

He hasn't scored a goal since Boxing Day 2014.

Perfectly qualified for this current side.

I agree reference the loanees, no point now unless Donny want to sign one or two,or none so let em go. No urgency season done. Crap from Day One

The key is to build the spine of the team and be ruthless.  It's not good but next season is a huge opportunity. A huge step back to hopefully rebuild.

If we turn up at the start of next season with the bulk of this squad still in place I will be very disappointed.

Fully agree. Only a few I would keep.

They will be wearing a new kit though and our new Thai overlords will be pleased.

Yes yes and yes again but DF has to go after this debacle.
Get Wilder from Northampton Town. If we can persuade him to come.A Yorkshireman with the know how to get a team out of League 2 on a shoe string. He will have a reasonable budget at Rovers certainly  bigger than Norhampton's

Sending one of our 3 senior strikers to a relegation rival was an horrendous decision. ...heads should roll.

Mains goal did not win the game because Swindon did not score.
We are now 6 points behind Oldham and 7 points behind the others.

Unless we get 3 points on Saturday relegation is inevidentable if not already.

Folks.

We. Are. Down.

Staying up is all about heart, guts and effort. Doing anything to scrape a draw or pinch a last minute winner.

This lot have none of this and it has been apparent from ten games out they had no ability to demonstrate any of these.

Nothing suggests they can start consistently showing what is needed to stay up. Far too late.

I agree. And if we don't return immediately, the rot will well & truly set in & then I would really fear for the future.

If coppinger gets rolled out wearing the captains armband first game next season then you can expect more of the same.

Df needs to get a big lump of a leader on the pitch who can put a shift in week in week out and bark orders, maintain discipline and fight their way back to league one.

League two, as we know is a tough, tough league, full of battling teams with perhaps a bit more emphasis on physicality as opposed to skill.

Lucky we've got a big, battling, physical striker returning from loan to the club for next season, eh?

They weren't a relegation rival at the time

We need 12 points from 6 games, if we still go down then so be it but other results don't really effect the fact we need to win 3 or 4 of the next 6 games
