To be so dominant and not score is worrying.

BR will not be so poor 2nd half surely.

We really need to be more clinical and finish teams off.
We know that one. So does DM

What could the solution be?

Give the lad a chance.
He has scored as many as Ennis in far fewer minutes on the pitch.

yes i knew that fact about Bingham he (with his one goal prematch) had the best goals per minute ratio of any Rovers player

think this deserves a repost from the lucky pint thread

Tesco think Bingham going to score and just put an o rder in for lots of humble pie

Are you assuming that I’m having a dig at Moore, Bingham or the fans that think they know better than the manager?

They were.
First Halliday played in Ben whose great first touch gave him the time to place it past the keeper.
The second a good bit of play between Bingham and Copps. Good control and a good finish. Very easy on the eye.

To go back to Selby's original post- which has again been completely hijacked by non-related agendas around budgets, personal sniping/backbiting which is all too common on this site, but its almost now the norm. (By the way remind me if I get to 20,000 plus posts I need to seriously get a life).
Yes sir, I am off down to the sunny West Country tomorrow. My last old school mate lives down in Yate. I will be driving down tomorrow morning and coming back Sunday- meaning a few bevvies in between. Have spent many interesting times there over the years. In the darker days we have done FGR and Cheltenham and recently Swindon, Rovers and City, missing out on Newport on the Friday night as it was too close to Christmas. Highlights- the battering we took at Swindon but held on for a draw and the 3-2 win there. The 5-2 at City JET and Billy untouchable, Low- Cardiff the 0-7 THAT season, but conversely, Uttley's goal of the season from the halfway line- fog and all on a murky Friday night. Looking forward to tomorrow- Come on you Reds!

Ian mate. If you get to 20,000 posts, ALL of us need to get a life!

Another decent display, and a great result, frustrating to watch us be so dominant for most of the match, and struggle to score the goals our domination deserved.
Then along comes the veteran genius, and just when I was fretting we could throw this game away, he starts to wiggle his backside and creates room for other players around the box, and  has  a hand in our two cracking goals.
The side is looking more organised, the players look to be more confident, the manager knows what he wants from the players, and as Ken a friend says there is a the look of a group of players with a great team spirit, willing to play and fight for each other.
To say Bristol started the game well above us, we looked a far better team than them all the game, with them mounting only sporadic periods of pressure throughout the game, so now it is on to the next game  hoping we can maintain the momentum  resulting from  our form, Coventry and Sunderland  two big obstacles worthy of our respect up next, but if we play well we are capable of getting a result against them both.
Do so and we will really be in the mix at the top of the division.

We can afford to lose either of the next two to maintain our recent 2 pts per game average. Probably home v Coventry is the best bet for a win. Anything at Sunderland is then a bonus. The way the fixtures are looking, we're not going to catch up the games in hand for sometime, so be prepared to see us hovering around the top 6 before pushing up late March into April.

Hopefully Sunderland will be a bit over confident after out performing us fairly comprehensively in the last match. They did have the cushion of an early goal in that match though. Go there and score first and they might feel the pressure from their crowd.

That made me laugh Andy- anyway back in SY now - torrential rain round Birmingham made it look grimmer than usual!

Absolutely star performance yesterday especially when the little man came on to weave his magic! Significant we scored late on instead of conceding- loved it superb all round performance- 11 men of the match, and the delight on Darren's  face when he came over to acknowledge us was plain for all to see....
