Either way, myth or fact, it's got to be a step change that players of this man's calibre are being linked with the club.  (Albeit largely on here, but he's at the same level as Diouf, and I'm still pinching mesen about him.)  Hopefully somebody's told Anelka that we've continued to progress since he came on as a sub in our FA Cup mauling.  And that wasn't a bad Donny side either, it was just a Premiership-quality, good (and Big Sam-sized) Bolton one: BWFC 2nd XXII versus Mark McCammon and ten lads; good effort put in by our lot but gulf in class, 'nuff said.

Anyway, the more the merrier.  If this experiment doesn't work we'll end up a favourite to come back up out of L1 next season.  BUT, if it does, and we stay up this year, think about the possibilities for 2012-13.  Toshack did wonders with Swansea in the 1980s, bringing his old mates in to have a good go in the top flight for a spell before they hung their boots up.  Exit Leighton James and company, exit the First Division, but this, we would hope, is a sustainable business model.

Anyway, in JR I trust (well JR and my mate Gita who's best mates with Melinda Messenger) and yes, everybody else pays cash.  Especially Filo and BST.
